The size of a flatbed printer is up to 3.2x2,5 m and the media size is up to 2.5x1.4 m with a thickness up to 50mm. For this reason there is need for a load and unload system of big and heavy media and to increase the productivity of the machine this can be semi or full automatic.
The boards should be placed accurately onto the table or the position should be accurate detected.

Your assignment will be to gather the requirements and come up with several mechatronic design concepts of a load / unload system for our flatbed printers.
One of these concepts can be worked to a useful construction and a prototype will be built. You will be working in a dynamic project environment at the R&D site in Venlo.
