The Role The Pathology (PA) team works together with internal project and expert teams, to guide the development of ground-
breaking new antibody-based medicines from concept to the clinic. PA delivers insights into target and biomarker expression in tissues to support safety assessments, disease indication selection and mechanisms of action studies of therapeutic antibody product candidates.
The PA team works closely together to perform experiments in-house and in collaboration with international contract research organizations (CRO).
The PA team is embedded in the global translational research department. Key Accountabilities You work with internal-research teams and CRO’s to develop and perform single / multiplex IHC, ISH (RNA scope) and quantitative image analysis.
You design and run (molecular) pathology experiments, and are responsible for analyzing, interpreting, and summarizing the results.
You will work with one or multiple research associates to ensure high quality wet lab data packages are delivered You work in close collaboration with the department of bioinformatics and data sciences to ensure processing of (high density) molecular pathology data packages You are responsible for reporting of pathology data packages in project team meetings, and you ensure reporting scientific results so they can be used in patent applications, publications and regulatory documentation.
You stay up-to-date regarding new and state-of-the-art (molecular) pathology techniques to detect and quantify (in situ) mRNA and protein expression in normal and diseased tissues using As part of the Translational Research group, you belong to a team of experienced Scientists and Research Associates with state-
of-the-art knowledge of the fields of antibody biology, pathology, drug development, and biomarkers (immuno-oncology). Skills & Experience You are experienced and motivated to work in the field of tumor biology, immune-
oncology and molecular pathology. You have a getting things done mentality’, are enthusiastic, goal-oriented, capable of working efficiently and accurately and you enjoy working in a team.
You are pro-active, set high standards for quality of your work. You are also interested in learning and developing new skills and are driven to work together on the development of a new generation of medicines.
Furthermore, you meet the following professional requirements : You have a PhD in tumor biology, immune-oncology, pathology or equivalent research area You have experience with state-
of-the-art (molecular) pathology techniques Knowledge of, and / or work experience with immunology, tumor biology is preferred.
You have excellent communicative skills in English and Dutch. You can manage several studies and projects in parallel and work in a flexible manner You have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with a diverse group of Scientists and Research Associates and can work to deadlines.
You recognize the importance of working in accordance to the quality systems, which includes adhering to standardized procedures and detailed documentation of your work.
