This Controller Alternative Investments job offers you a monthly salary of €4.674 - €6.677, depending on your knowledge and experience.
Your impact as Controller Alternative Investments at NN
As a Controller Alternative Investments you will be part of the Investment Operations value stream within NN Group Finance.
Asset Roadmap Program, Accounting Operations, Controlling, DevOps Data Platform, DevOps Investment Accounting Platform and last but not least our Cognizant off shore team in India.
In this role you will be part of the Controlling team (Mid-Office focussed) and responsible for external asset manager oversight in which you will have a crucial role in the alignment between third party asset managers and the Finance Back-Office teams, data quality assurance & enhancement, mark-to-model valuation assessments and regulatory compliance (IFRS / SII) of existing / new investments.
To ensure regulatory and NN compliance, support the operational due diligence process for new investments with focus on data quality, valuation principles and reporting requirements where you feel comfortable to address findings and negotiate terms with external asset managers and / or le-gal counsels.
Log new investments in time, correct and accurate (i.e. support in setting up the financial instruments in ABOR, initiating payments, etc.
on the reporting platform (SimCorp Dimension).
Ensure continuous high-quality data delivery by external asset managers.
Perform complex mark-to-model valuation assessments (including benchmarking & PME compare-sons) where you feel comfortable to engage in critical discussions with external managers.
Prepare high quality input for the NN Group Valuation Committee and feel comfortable to verbally share performance highlights and valuations risks with the audience.
Who you are
Academic degree in the field of finance with additionally CFA / CAIA as an advantage.
Approx. 3 years relevant work experience in a similar or asset management environment.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to express and communicate views, both written and verbally.
Mark-to-model valuation, IFRS and Solvency knowledge and experience.
Fluent in English, both written and verbally, Dutch is a plus.
Within the Controlling team you will work with professionals on different focus areas. The team is the process owner of ABOR, serves as a Mid-Office for (alternative) investments, is responsible for Performance and Analytics (including forecasting & budgeting), data delivery, and operates as the business partner for the Investment ABOR where the team works closely together with the Dutch and international NN Insurance entities, Investment Office (front office team within NN), Corporate Treasury, Group Risk, NN Investment Partners and Group Finance in order to deliver accurate, consistent, timely and high-quality asset data regarding the NN Group Insurance Investments.
