Description

Nike is looking to hire an Employee Relations Manager into its European Headquarters to cover the Netherlands and our Central and Eastern Europe region.

Together with the two Employee Relations Specialists you’ll be the main point of contact and source of expertise for all ER guidance and support for the HR Team and business managers within Nike Inc.

You’ll be responsible for ensuring fair and consistent delivery of Nike policies and procedures, promoting and maintaining employee well-

being, whilst minimising risk and maintaining compliance. You'll approach your work proactively and in a consultative manner educating employees and managers at each touch point, enabling them to make decisions that provide a fair and consistent employment experience throughout the organization, thereby stewarding the employment and cultural brand of Nike, Inc.

Responsibilities :

  • Direct day-to-day management of the Employee Relations Specialists;
  • Be the point of contact for the escalation of issues, policy and process interpretation;
  • Accountable for all complex Employee Relations casework, driving the resolution issues from initiation through to closure;
  • Support all ER activity including disciplinaries, grievances, performance management, absence, appeals, Occupational Health, and any other associated ER activity;
  • Work in partnership with the HR Team and business functions, to identify ER trends and recommend proactive interventions to minimize risk;
  • Provide data on key metrics for ER related matters;
  • Understand, interpret and analyze changes in EU Employment law in order to develop proactive and strategic solutions whilst maintaining compliance;
  • Develop procedures, processes and guidance notes in relation to areas of ER and work collaboratively with colleagues across HR to support the introduction of new or revised ER policies.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or a related field;
  • 6 years’ additional experience in lieu of a degree;
  • 5 years' Employee Relations experience in interpreting and applying policy and procedure. A legal background is advantageous;
  • 5 years’ experience investigating and resolving workplace concerns.
  • Up to date employment law and best practice HR knowledge;
  • Strong influencing skills with proven success in influencing employees at all levels of the organization in a consultative methodology;
  • Ability to interact effectively and quickly establish professional credibility with colleagues and stakeholders at all levels;
  • Able to focus both on details and wider implications of issues.
