5G Front-End-Module Designer
Job Description :
In the Business Line RF Power, we design transmit and receive solutions for 5G, RF Power transistors and MMICs for Base Stations, Aerospace and Defense applications as well as RF Power solutions for RF Energy applications.
For our 5G initiative, we are looking for experienced 5G Front-End-Module Designers. You will :
Be responsible for the integration of 5G Front End functions in a module. This includes specification of its main building blocks such as PA, LNA and switch functions.
Electrical and mechanical design and layout of the high efficiency, highly functional integrated FEMs for 5G applications.
Interface and cooperate with the building block development teams to come up with the most cost effective implementation meeting the customers size and performance requirements.
Work with our package and assembly teams towards the manufacturing of such products meeting the stringent end-customer reliability requirements.
For your design, you will work with state-of-the-art simulation tools.
Initiate and execute prototype builds, load-pull and thermal characterization.
Design characterization fixtures and performing measurements to verify if the product meets the requirements, including characterization with DPD.
You participate in test definition and bringing the product to release.
Work with our Product Engineering group to transfer the product to production
Job Requirements :
Degree (BSc, MS, or PhD) in Electrical Engineering, Physics or similar studies,
More than 7 years of experience in RF Power amplifier including hardware system integration,
Hands-on experience with RF Power, module design and system specification is a plus,

Fluent with modern simulation tools such as ADS or AWR as well as EM simulations (HFSS or other),
Same for layout design tools and coupling its output to the design,
Knowledgeable in high efficiency RF Power transistor and MMIC design,
Experienced at RF system in package integration, familiar in making the right trade-off between size and meeting high isolation requirements between its building blocks,
Understanding of design for manufacturability and cost,
Operation and calibration of an RF Power (spectrum analyzer, network analyzer, power meter) test setup, including DPD measurements,
Hands-On board level tuning and optimization,
Providing clear status and development updates,
Analyzing and summarizing test data,
Load-pull experience, non-Linear Active Device modeling experience is a plus,
Familiarity with AutoCAD or other drawing packages is a plus,
Familiarity with MATLAB and LabView is a plus,
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to build long lasting partnerships,
Fluency in spoken and written English,
Fluent with Microsoft Office products.
