Within Schiphol, Capital Programme is the project organization that focuses on building our new pier and terminal. Experts from amongst others the UK, Canada, Spain, Portugal, UAE and work together for its realisation.
As our new Quality Manager, your responsibility will be to assure that projects are delivered in compliance with the requirements as set out in our governance framework.
This means developing and implementing the quality management system, tools, and procedures, and also documenting and validating the quality control inspection program, in order to support design validation, in-process and final inspection of the construction works.
In short : assuring PMCM QMS of all QC testing requirements, including the compliance to national, governmental and local standards.
You will identify and report QA related issues to the Project Directors and key personnel of the Capital Programme that could impact schedule, cost, quality, and safety.
To be successful in this challenging role, you will have a Master’s degree, preferably in Construction Management or Engineering and bring a minimum of 10 years of work experience in Quality Assurance in the construction industry.
You’ll have a broad knowledge of quality principles and their application to engineering, construction, environmental, testing and operations.
You are a certified auditor or have a qualification in QA and have developed, implemented and managed a quality management system based on your knowledge of regulatory requirements.
Furthermore, you bring a thorough understanding of the stage-gate process for a typical construction project : concept, develop, design / procure, construct, test / commission, handover and operate.
Overall, you have a proven ability to deliver to stretching objectives through effective prioritisation and are able to work under pressure whilst maintaining accuracy and keeping to deadlines.
While Dutch is preferred, fluency in English oral and written communications is a must.
