Together with a business developer you are responsible for identifying opportunities for acquisition. You will be involved in the initial set-
up of a project as intended project manager and will translate customer / consortia ambitions into an actionable project plan.
You work simultaneously on multiple projects, together with a team of colleagues from your own and other TNO departments, and in close collaboration with partners outside TNO.
You keep an overview over your project portfolio and you feel comfortable with multiple context switching during a day. The innovative projects come with uncertainties in goals, results, realization time and planning of resources, which you manage successfully.
Your project management skills ensure that projects are delivering the expected results within time and budget. You are responsible for the customer satisfaction, the project team’s performance.
Through dynamic risk management among others you prevent the occurrence of any surprises for the customer as well as for TNO.
Your work will see a high level of variation, depending on your own interests and talents. Your projects will vary from B2B projects delivering short term consultancy to a specific customer to longer term research in subsidized (inter)national projects with large consortia.
The projects will vary from more overall system studies described in a report to specific technology development that needs to be proven in a living lab.
What do we require of you?
You like to work in an innovative environment. You get energy from managing the uncertainties that come with applied research and with the development of innovative IT proof of concepts or demonstrators.
You are creative and have a pro-active attitude combined with an open, curious look on the dynamic developments in the energy domain and in (ICT)technology.
You connect people, interests, concerns and expertise to realize solutions. With your project management skills, experience and enthusiasm you inspire and motivate people.
Because the work asks for team collaboration and stakeholder management a sense for diplomacy and adequate social skills are a must.
You are able to find your way within different TNO units and departments. You take ownership of the expertise / results for the duration of the projects and beyond to ensure further development of the innovation and to create valorization opportunities.
