Job Description

Part-time 24-32 hours per week

As Marketing and Communications Manager you will be responsible for creating and writing Netherlands content on our external digital and social media channels.

The role will involve working across our Netherlands business areas, sectors, service lines to unearth stories and create compelling, original content.

You will deliver strategies to boost the exposure of Turner & Townsend’s content on digital channels such as the corporate website, search engines, LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram.

You will work through these channels, co-ordinating with the global digital team, to ensure our presence carries the gravitas of our brand and reflects our expertise and key themes.

Along with Netherlands, you will also support our main European and global campaigns and content strategy across the year, such as ICMS, Annual Review, 360 publications.

You will also have the confidence to work with senior leaders in the business, training them on their use of social media and ensuring that they are optimising the use of their own individual channels, working with them to write content to engage with their networks.

Social media :

  • Manage the daily running of the NL social media schedule, drafting and delivering content on appointments, speaking engagements, award wins, project milestones, for our corporate channels, working in close co-ordination with the global digital team
  • Work with senior leaders in the business to optimise their profiles to write and review content / commentary for their own individual accounts
  • Monitor activity on all our corporate channels to share / retweet content from our Nl and EU spokespeople and stakeholders
  • Monitor activity on LinkedIn, Twitter and Instagram and respond to any events where our brand and reputation may be affected negatively according to our social media policy and social media escalation process
  • Support social media training at all levels of the organisation and create ways of empowering our employees to advocate for our brand on social media
  • Support social media paid campaigns, and reporting on their results
  • Ensure adherence to our official social media guidance
  • Website :

  • Create, write and manage NL and EU content (eg press releases, case studies, commentary, reports), and co-ordinate with the global digital team and other content creators where necessary, publishing content on the website following approval processes
  • Ensure all content is formatted and optimised for web and tailored to target audience
  • Be able to analyse the performance of the website via Google Analytics and draw conclusions from it
  • Events

  • Organise client events such as roundtable events in person, virtual or hybrid for NL and EU level
  • Internal MarComms

  • Source and share new wins on NL and EU Yammer.
  • Production of high quality capability statements / company presentations
  • Project management :

  • Ensure that publications and other content campaigns have a user friendly, search engine optimised, digital facet
  • Chase stakeholders as required to ensure digital content is prepared and ready ahead of its deadline
  • Inform and report on the development of digital content within our remit
  • Skills required

  • 4 / 5 years+ experience communications / marketing in a professional services environment, ideally within the built environment
  • Strong copywriting skills and ability to identify and shape key messages
  • Demonstrable experience creating, writing and managing online content
  • Experience commissioning and / or producing original multimedia and live content for websites
  • Experience building and delivering targeted short, medium and long-term content plans, using content briefs where necessary
  • Experience sourcing and maintaining new contributors and relationships
  • Familiarity with HTML, experience of web publishing and social media management platforms (eg Sprout Social)
  • Experience using dotdigital
  • Familiarity with production software including Photoshop, InDesign
  • An understanding of digital analytics, setting KPIs and targets, analysing performance and optimising campaigns based on insights
  • Excellent spoken and written Dutch and English language ability, to native standard and demonstrable experience in creating clear and persuasive copy
  • Excellent attention to detail and proof-reading ability
  • Capable of managing and prioritising a large workload
