Key topics ofthe role
The PEM is responsible for improving project management by being responsible for the successful implementation of RHDHV Risk Management Process and Project Management procedures, working in conjunction with other members of the CG-PE and BL’s to deliver consistency across the whole business.
Support, coach and mentor Project Managers (in collaboration with the individual’s Line Managers).
Proactively steer on PM knowledge sharing activities and sharing PM lessons Learned within and across all Business Lines.
Assist and provide input into the corporate project management programme which trains and develops PMs in a systematic way to meet the current and future needs of the Company.
To provide input and steer the development of standardized and consistent proposals which will drive predictable and certain bidding and greatly improve the project execution phase.
Work with the other Project Excellence Managers to develop historical, bench marked data to assist in estimating / norms for proposals, so predictable bidding can be obtained.
Business line Project Excellence Programme
Implement and manage the Project excellence programme in the Business Line in which the incumbent is assigned, aligned with Royal HaskoningDHV Global PE programme in particular
Stimulate appropriate sales-to-delivery transition, project start-up, periodic and close-out reviews.
Carry out periodic in-depth reviews of projects and champion the sharing and formulation of best practices within the BL and companywide, sharing observation with other PEM’s.
Monitor and Review project progress and results, and (assist line managers to) steer on adjustment where needed.
Assist the BL Major Proposal Review System for proposals >
Promote and Support Global Project Delivery principles and tools.
Work with the BL’s and other members of the PEM team to leverage and achieve alignment on delivery approach and project management practices to create a consistent approach across the whole company.
Supporting, coaching and mentoring PMs.
Promote and disseminate PM Lessons Learned and Recommended Practices within the Company and across all BL’s.
What we ask from you
At least 5 years’ experience in a senior project management or line management position with specific experience in major international projects.
Trusted and respected PM by Line Management as well as by project managers.
Performance Driven, achievement (results) oriented.
Excellent communicating, facilitating and influencing skills.
Well organised, with demonstrable project management competencies.
Organisation sensitive, with ability to challenge senior management when necessary.
Supportive leader with coaching skills.
Experienced Project Manager with international experience.
Good understanding of RHDHV’s business, including a thorough knowledge of the RHDHV’s business processes.
Basic understanding of financial accounting and revenue recognition principles.
Appropriate degree qualification.
Willing to travel to suit the requirements of the role.
Fluent in Dutch, both speaking and writing.
