Description

For our Production site based to Lelystad (Netherlands) and specialized in the production of Automotive coatings, we are actively looking for a Production Engineer (M / F / D).

Main Functions :

Ensures manufacturing process capital projects are implemented on time and to budget, which includes setting scope, influencing objectives, setting timelines, carrying out project tasks, and leading communications within the plant.

Projects can range from small to large in scope and may involve managing contractors as appropriate to the size of the project.

Identifies and implements opportunities for improvement and optimisation of the plant operation and solves technical operational problems using process engineering techniques to diagnose the causes and generate the most appropriate solutions.

Provides specialist process engineering expertise in the development, control and implementation of equipment and procedural change to the manufacturing process.

In particular ensuring that the process safety requirements are addressed including facilitating Hazop / Hazan studies as necessary.

Develops and maintains the site process technical operating manuals and design information.

Supports the introduction and scale up of new products through review and approval of manufacturing methods in line with good process engineering practice combined with active observation, advice and process development to ensure fitness for purpose and reproducibility.

Applies process engineering principles and practices to identify and assess suitability of new or updated equipment, processes, and other areas as required within the scope of a project.

Interprets and applies corporate policies and procedures and applicable laws, rules, and regulations to ensure compliance with these areas from a process engineering perspective.

Where necessary develop appropriate new policies and procedures to ensure compliance with good engineering principles and practices.

Profile :

Chemical Engineering degree, or working towards.

2 / 3 years experience in a Hazardous manufacturing environment, preferably Coatings / Chemical or Food environment,

Working knowledge of Management of relevant country Health and Safety legislation,

FMEA, Process experience,

Experience of Computer Maintenance Management Systems.

NEBOSH would be advantageous,

Regulatory understanding, including, PSSR, LOLER, PUWER, HASAW 1974, SEVESO / COMAH.

Working knowledge of ATEX / DSEAR.

Dutch / English..
