Position can be located in one of the Aegon AM hubs : The Hague, NL, Edinburgh, UK, Cedar Rapids, IA or Chicago, IL (US).

Position Overview : As member of the Aegon AM Global Compliance team you will support the Head of Compliance and the Global Head of Compliance in the implementation of the global compliance program and yearly plan, delivery of global compliance projects / initiatives, and alignment of global compliance practices and standards.

You will liaise with relevant areas of the Aegon AM business across affiliates consistent to drive compliance objectives.

Responsibilities :

  • Coordinate and administer assigned global compliance responsibilities. Support compliance across AAM affiliates and investment platforms.
  • Lead, coordinate, draft and deliver all global compliance reporting, including committee / board / other governance / Group Compliance submissions, liaising with affiliates and other functions;
  • develop / maintain reporting KRIs / KPIs.

  • Act as a liaison between Aegon AM local compliance teams, across AAM risk teams, and with Aegon Group Regulatory Compliance.
  • Administer global compliance policies, including yearly policy reviews, in accordance with regulations and accordant with the Company’s policy framework;
  • perform policy reviews and attestations, as requested.

  • Assist in the development and alignment of global compliance practices / standards and participate or lead relevant working groups.
  • Prepare and maintain global compliance program documentation, including drafting procedures and standards.
  • Administer assigned global compliance functions designed to support local compliance programs.
  • Support implementation of the yearly global compliance plan.
  • Support or lead, as appropriate, global compliance projects including Group Compliance initiatives / requests.
  • Assist with performing compliance monitoring / testing while liaising with the global compliance monitoring team.
  • Organize global compliance communications, activities and meetings.
  • Represent global compliance team in meetings and committees upon request.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
  • Three years of relevant work experience in the investment management industry, or equivalent professional experience.
  • Solid academic background with strong quantitative / analytical skills.
  • Experience in a highly automated environment and / or high degree of
  • comfort and fluency with computers and technology.
  • Ability to work in a small-team environment and to work independently, and to multi-task with minimal supervision.
  • Attention to detail and organizational skills, with the ability to multi-task deliverables in a fast paced environment.
  • Strong sense of accountability with a drive for results.
  • Professional maturity and ability to be discreet in working with highly sensitive information.
  • Preferred Qualifications

  • MBA or CFA designation
  • Compliance experience with an investment adviser, broker dealer, or related industry
