As a Data Scientist within our Revenue Management department you will analyze and predict demand in volume, price and customer typology given network constrains and optimal use of assets, through analysis of available data.
Furthermore, you will actively suggest data improvements and model accuracy. You'll be assisting in Pricing analysis and modelling and propose scenarios on how to apply the theoretical basis of data mining / statistics to the TNT business environment supporting the profitable Revenue growth targets.
Your key activities will be :
Design and improve data updates from various sources (Consignment transaction, Pricing, Customer, Network & Operations, Competitor, market Conditions, Variable Cost)
Data manipulation (clean, create categories, relations, hierarchies & calculated items) Explore data to fit optimization concept
Create and maintain data models
Support local analysts
Expert in the field of statistics / data mining
Masters degree preferably in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or Operations Research
Proven experience of statistical concepts, analyzing large amounts of data and building and validating time series and risk management models
Proven experience with optimization modelling and statistical applications and tools (e.g., R, Matlab, SAS, SPSS, Python)
Proven experience with SQL, ETL & visualization tools like Tableau
