About the Finance Department

Primarily based in Amsterdam with Payroll offices in Wroclaw, the EMEA finance department supports all of Dolby’s businesses alongside the R&D efforts across the region.

Collectively, the current team of 17 is responsible for a wide array of functions including FP&A, Accounting, Accounts Payable, Collections and Payroll.

As a young, multinational team they are passionate and committed to providing excellent service in an industry focused on light, sound, vision, and cinema

The role is responsible for working in conjunction with the finance team and will play an integral part in developing the culture and success of the organization.

The Finance Manager will focus on payroll and accounts payable and knowledge in these fields is a prerequisite.

  • Primary Responsibilities :

    Payroll Responsible for EMEA payroll

  • Oversee and manage the monthly payroll process across all international entities
  • Formulate a cohesive team with our 3 payroll accountants in Wroclaw
  • Build strong working relationships with our payroll team and Global HR operations who are all based in Wroclaw.
  • Ensure all work undertaken by the payroll accountants is accurate, compliant, and completed in a timely manner. This includes (but is not limited to) : payroll output, payments, journals, and balance sheet reconciliations
  • Provide coaching and oversight to ensure all tasks are completed according to strict timelines
  • Act as the main point of contact with our auditors for project managing all payroll deliverables across 12 countries. This includes PBC documentation required for statutory and internal purposes (SOX)
  • Accounts Payable Responsible for EMEA Accounts Payable team

  • Ownership of overall accounts payable process across EMEA
  • Manage our Amsterdam based team of 3 who oversee our Accounts Payable and T&E administration
  • Drive efficiency through achievement of KPIs
  • Play an integral role in the implementation of our new procure to pay (P2P) system beginning early 2019
  • Ensure adequate controls are maintained regarding the processing of invoices and payments
  • Work closely with Sr. Finance Manager and team to drive continuous improvement for the organization through excellence initiatives
  • About You

  • 5 years plus experience in working at a manager level within a shared service center
  • Experience in team management and coaching
  • Strong understanding of payroll and accounts payable
  • Driver for change with great planning abilities and effective leadership skills
  • Self-Starter
  • In-depth understanding of finance and accounting processes
  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting or other business related subject
  • Clear and effective communication skills and a team player with a customer-oriented approach
  • Extensive knowledge and understanding of ERP systems (SAP)
  • Advanced Excel skills
  • Proven ability to prioritize activities and manage workload in a complex, fast-paced, deadline driven environment
  • Regular travel to Wroclaw is expected in this role
