Specifically,for our site in Delft,we are seekingahands-onNanofabricationSystemEngineer. You will join a global team of nano-fabrication engineers and willassistin the execution ofexperimentalplansthroughnanofabrication of topological devicesbased on III / V material.

Travel time is about 10%(after COVID).


  • Define and fabricate nano-patterned quantum devices for electricaland structuralcharacterization.
  • Develop high-yield", reproducible nano-patterning recipes forcomplexcompoundsemiconductor devices.
  • Workin a cleanroom environment and be able to handle various chemicals(incl. strong acids)and equipment(ALD,PVD, EBL etc).
  • Monitor, control, and qualify developedfabricationprocesses.
  • Undertake risk assessment and hazard analysis of lab and device fabrication processes.
  • Manage design reviews to integratenewdesignsinend-to-endprocess flows.
  • Qu a lifications

  • Master’sor PhDin physics, engineering, material science orotherrelated field.
  • 2 years hands-on experience with nanofabrication of solid-state devices
  • 2 years hands-on experience with electron beam lithography (EBL)
  • Experience in processing with(2D)III-V material systems is a must.
  • Experience in metrology with tools such as optical microscopy and scanning electron microscopes (SEM) as well as image processing for (automated) critical dimension (CD) measurements.
  • Ability to quickly integrate and work in a multi-disciplinary, international team andeffectively communicateto meet deadlines and deliver againstteamgoals.

    Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and / or government security screening requirements are required for this role. These requirements include, but are not limited to the following specialized security screenings : Microsoft Cloud Background Check : This position will be required to pass the Microsoft Cloud Background Check upon hire / transfer and every two years thereafter.
