The Sales and Business Operations unit is responsible for the tools, systems, processes and programs that support the execution of initiatives within the Commercial organization and the reporting of those initiatives.
The team engages with different cross functional organisations Product Management, Marketing, Channel, Business development and ensures that the right mechanisms exist to support the Commercial business as it grows and scales.
Purpose of the role
The Sales Operations Manager will help the Commercial organization and Ultimaker realize business benefits from executing initiatives that yield operational efficiencies.
The Sales Ops Manager will develop a detailed understanding of Ultimaker’s lead to cash processes, identify any gaps and design new processes as required or optimize existing ones as well as drive the adoption of the tools that support the business.
Gain a detailed understanding of existing sales processes, identify any process gaps and develop new processes to address these gaps.
Further document and drive process adoption.
Gain understanding of key reporting tools and generate metrics that drive business decision making.
Translate business requirements into execution plans and manage through to implementation.
Work with cross-functional teams on organization wide projects.
Engage IT and other technical teams to prioritize tool and process enhancements that support sales and other commercial activities.
Support critical business decision-making with fact-based analysis.
Collaborate closely with regional and global teams to ensure smooth flow of operations from global to local, access and implement global best practice ideas.
Maintain and assure the accuracy of data over the entire sales funnel life cycle.
Provide change programmes with focus on delivering results efficiently.
Knowledge, skills, competencies :
The role is people, data and communications intensive and therefore requires excellent leadership, quantitative and presentation skills.
5+ years of experience in Sales operations, business consultancy and or project or program management.
Expertise on sales automation and CRM systems.
Ability to work cross functionally and experience with supporting executive-level stakeholders.
Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, managing multiple complex projects with various deadlines and with minimal supervision.
A self-starter with excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
Minimum of a bachelor's degree in a quantitative subject.
Experience with Microsoft Office, Salesforce CRM and SharePoint.
Proficiency at project management as well as designing and implementing new Sales processes
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Experience in a rapidly scaling technology environment is a bonus.
