Due to WorleyParsons continued expansion in theChemicals sector, we are looking for experienced, degree-qualified Procurement Lead / Buyer to join our teamin Bergen op Zoom, the Netherlands, ideally on a permanent staff basis.
Responsible for assisting in the execution of theprocurement cycle of contracts for multiple projects.
Interfacing withProject Managers and Design Leads to understand technical, cost and schedulerequirements associated with equipment and services being purchased
Production oftender documentation.
Co-ordination ofcorrespondence during tender period.
Commercialreview of tender submissions and production of award recommendation.
Ability toprepare, issue and administrate contract to the level of involvement asdirected by Client (May include site based administration and cost tracking).
Ability to workclosely with Client, Engineering and Construction groups throughout theprocurement cycle.
Ability tocommunicate and report on the contracting status of the project.
Ability toassess contractor payment submissions (Establish quantities, apply or negotiatesuitable unit rates, review of tender documentation etc).
Job Specific Knowledge :
Experience inPre-FEED, FEED and EPCm projects.
Relevantexperience in the engineering of brownfield projects in the refining,petrochemicals or chemicals industries.
Candidate musthave a broad knowledge of national and international codes and standards
Proven abilityof working on multiple projects (Quantity Surveying background preferred butnot essential).
A degree ordiploma in a relevant discipline.
At least 8years’ experience in purchasing engineered equipment and contract services,preferably in an engineering environment
Ability toestablish and maintain workplace relationships.
Ability to workclosely with Team members but also possess the initiative to successfully workindependently to meet required deadlines
Thoroughknowledge of Microsoft Office especially Excel and Word
