For our Global KYC organisation we are looking for a Process Lead Transaction Monitoring Remediation. As Process Lead you will be leading the TM Remediation Gap Assessment area.

You will be providing the central governance over any breaks that occur in the end to end transaction monitoring process in order to determine the impact of the break, the root cause and the potential fixes of the break.

You will prepare decision making and prioritisation and be a key contributor to the TM Change Board.

You will be located in the Hague and you will report hierarchically and functionally to the Head of TM Remediation.

What you'll do

  • You execute the TM remediation investigation, assessment and resolution strategy.
  • You work closely with colleagues across the bank in an international environment to deliver results;
  • You will actively gather information from Global KYC departments, Business Lines and countries that could point at issues with the TM effectiveness
  • You will lead a triage process to ensure the right issues are prioritised for follow up.
  • You will drive the TM investigation backlog together with the Global KYC DT squads and other stakeholders in the Global KYC area and were needed lead the execution of functional TM investigation by own team members.
  • You will translate the results of investigation into proposals for remediation and prepare decision making on all proposals by the TM Change Board.
  • You support the TM Remediation Head in the creation of setup and implementation of the TM remediation team and the execution of the TM remediation roadmap.
  • How to succeed

  • Master degree.
  • Minimum of 10 years of working experience in Banking environment and 5 years on managerial levels
  • A personality and the capabilities to optimally function within an Agile environment.
  • Natural Leader
  • Experience / affinity in the field of KYC and IT.
  • A proactive, can-do, no surprises and positive mind-set;
  • Experience in the area(s) of multidisciplinary complex deliveries with a track record of fast learning, preferably in the area of Transaction processing, KYC, AML and Compliance;
  • Experience and affinity with working together with and in IT and solution-build driven teams;
  • Clear understanding of risk implication of control failures observed and solid judgment on priority setting for resolution.
  • The ability to facilitate decision-making to drive complex design issues to a conclusion;
  • Strong organisational sensitivity; the ability to understand and take into account the underlying issues, opportunities and dynamics of an international organisation with multiple functional lines and one hierarchical line, dealing with multiple (sometimes conflicting) interests;
  • A strong focus on understanding the business requirements and supportive data to fit proposed resolutions into the target operating model design, in line with INGs ambitions;
  • A strong resilience; the ability to navigate through ambiguity and simplify complexity without losing essence.

    The Global Transaction Monitoring (TM) organization (TM Pillar) is part of the Global KYC organization. It sets standards and provides content expertise on the implementation of various KYC-related laws & policies to the squads or circles, ensures the alignment with the other lines of defence and represents KYC and ING to internal & external parties (incl.

    regulators) and client events. The TM pillar, together with the local TM experts, plays a vital role in ensuring effective and efficient compliance with the KYC-related regulations, more specific the AML / CTF legislation.

    Within the TM Pillar, we have dedicated teams with in-depth KYC knowledge and expertise; one of the teams is the Remediation team.

    This team works closely with Compliance on our KYC Policy and is responsible for setting the requirements for transaction monitoring scenario’s and controls for our global banking products and services, including reviewing country specific scenarios and controls.

    It is our responsibility to ensure TM breaks are identified, assessed and mitigated continuously
