In this role you are responsible for both contributing to the expertise and knowledge within the Process Systems Discipline and to take the (Area) Lead role on projects.
particular focus is on our Floating LNG products. Furthermore you will play an active role in current and future projects (studies, proposals, FEED study projects and EPCI projects) by sharing your technical knowledge, acting as a coach for less experienced engineers, preparing design bases, participating in project set-
up and lead / attend review meetings.
In the (Area) Lead role on projects, you will lead teams of up to 10 Process Draftsmen and Engineers. In this role you will experience occasional high workload (peaks in project scope for your discipline).
You are responsible for planning and forecasting this workload and to act accordingly if any issues occur.

You will be part of the Safety, Process and Marine Department, which consists of 4 disciplines : Safety & Loss Prevention, Process Systems, Marine Systems and Process & Marine Drafting.
The Process Systems Discipline in Schiedam office consists currently of 15 Process Engineers and has the task to provide process engineering and design activities for projects executed at SBM Offshore (process studies, proposals, FEED and EPCI).
SBM Schiedam is looking for highly skilled candidates with people management experience and in depth relevant technical knowledge.
You have an MSc or BSc degree in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering, strong knowledge of engineering fundamentals, preparation of engineering documents and Process concepts.
