As a Technical Marketing Manager in the Minerals division, you have the responsibility for supporting the Sales team with the focus on development of a profitable, sustainable business.

In this role you also give day to day technical support to internal and external customers identifying and implementing solutions to data / knowledge gaps within the business.

Identification of potential new, profitable markets for RHI Magnesita magnesia is a key feature of this role and requires attendance at industry specific conferences and communication with a diverse industry base.

This is a collaborative role working within the Sales team and with strong connections with R&D and Production departments.

Your tasks will include :

  • Technical support to the Minerals sales team
  • Supervising trials on internal and external customer sites
  • Project coordination with R&D, Production and Controlling to develop new products and / or develop new applications
  • Coordination with R&D to develop / produce industry relevant information for marketing of products
  • Generation of marketing information for existing products and for new product launches
  • Generate and maintain information database of competitor products and magnesia application areas
  • Work for the acknowledged industry leader in innovative technology

With your extensive experience in the field of Industrial minerals, magnesia specifically you have a knowledge of the applications this mineral is supplied into and what is required to differentiate from a commodity supplier.

    You will have a detailed understanding of the characteristics of magnesia and how these can influence value to customers in various application areas.

    You can instigate and support applied R&D projects and discuss knowledgeably with all stakeholders. With your strong analytical and communication skills, you simply communicate complex technical data to stakeholders to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the Magnesia market.

    With your flexible work style & collaborative customer orientation combined with your communication and leadership skills, you professionally support a global base of internal and external customers.

    You understand that with this opportunity you would be travelling globally to regions in Europe, Asia, Africa, North and South America for customer meetings, conferences and internal meetings. In addition, you have :

  • 5+ years of Technical experience in magnesia mineral market
  • 5+ years in a management role
  • Significant knowledge in a minimum of two application areas for magnesia
  • Related degree or equivalent technical background
  • Native English fluency, any additional language will be considered an asset
  • Microsoft Office & computer skills
