Technical Service Engineer III
We are looking for a colleague who will be the primary technical point of contact for customers. The main focus of this position is to provide technical support to our customers, as well as the acquisition of new customers with your technical knowledge.
You will make visits to refineries for problem solving, product evaluation and technical sales presentations.
Tasks & Responsibilities
Managing customer relations at multiple levels
Working together with technical sales in the preparation and execution of negotiation plans
Assisting the business in identifying technical needs and in defining marketing strategy
Coordinating technical activities with the sales groups
Preparing technical offers and carrying out technical negotiations
Performing technical services, like unit monitoring and troubleshooting.
Giving technical presentations to (potential) customers
Writing and presenting technical papers at symposia, conferences, etc.
Coordinating customer service testing with Research & Development
Academic working and thinking level (preferably Chemistry or Chemical Technology)
At least five years of relevant experience as FCC technical service engineer or in process design or refining process industry, related to operation in FCC units
An enquiring, flexible and service minded attitude
Communicative skills : an eye for consultation, listening, and being able to react clearly and with arguments
Analytical thinking ability and solution-oriented thinking : showing creativity and initiative in solving technical (improvement) issues
Team focus through an active contribution to a joint result, even if it concerns a subject that is not of direct interest
A strong mix of technical and commercial skills is required to be successful
Very good English skills, both written and spoken. Other language skills are welcome, i.e. French, Spanish, Italian, German.
