  • Support daily sales activities boutiques and ecom transactions;
  • Perform revenue accounting : establish AR policies, receive / deposit customer payments, apply customer remittances and post to GL;
  • Reconcile and validate sales posting via Ayden / Matchbox (cash, bank and creditcard) for boutiques and online channel;
  • Reconcile and validate concession sales Bijenkorf;
  • Manage and reconcile cash positions and process / oversee electronic fund transfer (initial receipt and reversal of transaction by return) including fraud prevention and AML compliance;
  • Red lights checking, investigation and resolution;
  • Control admin and physical flows of goods including repairs and stock in transit and manage inventory by performing annual stock count boutiques and weekly cycle counts;
  • Establish and maintain a set of retail processes, procedures and controls (internal control system) to act compliant with internal guidance and policies as well as domestic law requirements;
  • Pro-active contribution to the current optimization and standardization of the accounting processes and development of a playbook;
  • Perform healthcheck and boutique audits to ensure compliance.
  • Training and general support to boutique employees on ad hoc projects;
  • General accounting to include journal creation, general ledger review and balance sheet analysis;
  • Support the monthly and annual financial closing process, external audits and any other ad-hoc projects.

  • Bachelor or Master degree in the following : economics, business administration, business accounting, applied economics and finance, certified public accountant
  • 5-8 years professional experience at senior level
  • 3-5 years in a similar role
  • 1-2 years audit / controlling proven track record in in a business finance function (not Corporate Finance) from major multinational company in fast moving consumer goods and / or luxury / fashion branded retailing;
  • Strong business, commercial and financial acumen
  • Excellent interpersonal skills
  • Strong communication, influencing and negotiation skills
  • Ability to be assertive
  • Tactful diplomat able to work across hierarchies and functions
  • Ability to work in a matrix organization
  • Strong drive for results
  • Catalyst for change and continuous improvement
  • Functional Skills :

  • Experienced in tax, financial accounting, financial analysis, treasury management
  • SAP (or similar ERP System)
  • Change Management and Stakeholder Management
  • Project Management
  • Language Skills :

  • Local language
  • English fluent in spoken and written (advanced degree)
  • French would be an advantage
  • Personal Skills :

  • Ability to work in a virtual networked organization
  • Analytical skills
  • Being able to see the big picture as well as ability to dive into details
  • Excellent communicator and strong collaborator
