The position is responsible to manage the portfolio of different digital customer and product related design and transformation projects.
These projects are centered around the implementation of the digital vision of DAMCO and are typically customer centric and build on concrete SCM solutions.
The different activities are running typically between 9-12 month each and are truly globally.
The position is responsible to design the digital solution in alignment and corporation with the digital solution, Enterprise Architects, other function sand the clients.
Next step is a professional ramp up these projects, give them the needed resources, align collaboration between the teams and with the other functions and bring the projects to a well-
defined and professional functioning hand over to BAU (Business As Usual).
The nature or the projects is in all aspects of digital supply chain products as origin services, destination services, Warehousing in all aspects, trucking, Booking Agent and connected products and services.
Essential for success of the activities and projects is a dense customer engagement, solid knowledge of DAMCO’s digital capabilities, the DAMCO SCP product family, outstanding stakeholder management, seamless interaction with the rest of the SCP team predominantly the digital transformation team.
Needed is very good communication skills and experience, global presence, flexibility and a very good feeling and sense for any challenge linked to these significant transformation activities.
In order to be successful a good logistic subject expertise is needed, deep logistic subject matter expertise is less relevant.
Mission critical is a strong people management knowledge. The team is truly global.
DAMCO is transitioning into a digital organization. Digital product understanding is part of the daily management responsibility.
The responsibility includes the hand over to operations and commercial of the delivered project.
