We seek an earth scientist who studies natural hazards (e.g. earthquakes, aseismic slip, rupture dynamics, giant earthquakes and tsunami, volcanic eruptions) and translates this knowledge into a better assessment of the potential impact of these hazards on modern society.

What are we offering?
A challenging position in a socially involved organization. On full-time basis the remuneration amounts to a minimum gross monthly salary of €3,974 (scale 11) and a maximum €5,439 (scale 11), depending on your education and experience.
The job profile is based on the university job ranking system and is vacant for at least 0.8 FTE.
The duration of the temporary contract can range from 1.5 years 5 years depending on the circumstances and preferences. After a positive evaluation planned at 18 months, the position will be made permanent and you will be offered a personal career track with guidance, training and mentoring.
The initial employment contract will affect a period of 18 months.
