Approximately 1 in 10 patients worldwide are affected by chronic kidney disease (CKD), many of whom experience the complication of anaemia which currently leaves them with symptoms that can dramatically reduce quality of life and increase risk of cardiovascular disease, hospitalisation and mortality.

At GSK, we are following the science of anaemia to better understand how to help these patients, who are often undiagnosed and undertreated.

GSK is proud to be expanding team working on CKD and we are seeking experienced and passionate professionals to join our exciting journey.

To ensure Market Access inThe Netherlands for GSK products in line with GSK global and local objectives. It encompasses defining strategy, preparing P&R applications and future launches, keeping market access for existing GSK products, in collaboration with all involved departments across the organization, and providing effective negotiation when required with external stakeholders in an evolving environment.

This role will provide YOU the opportunity to lead key activities to progress YOUR career. These responsibilities include some of the following :

Ensure patient access in hospitals by collaborating with relevant decision makers in the hospitals and healthcare insurers

Customer Engagement : Is an expert in finding ways to approach different health care professionals and knows how to involve them in improving health care quality.

Regarded by customer and external experts as preferred representative to collaborate with based on their insight. Identifies business risk and opportunities and reacts accordingly

Business planning : contributes to joint, long term, strategic plans with customer. Actively drives customer / account opportunities aligned with specialty portfolio strategies and customer needs.

Defines actions with long-term impact and proactively adjusts personal KPI’s based on stretched objectives and environmental customer changes.

Stakeholder collaboration : contributes to internal and external networks to provide innovative business / healthcare solutions.

Drafting and negotiating offers for selected tenders and quotations.

Execution of awarded tenders and innovative contracts, within the strategic guidelines of GSK. Translate external market developments and new regulations into impact / threats / opportunities for our business and inform management about insights, scenario analyses and direction for plan

We are looking for professionals with these required skills to achieve our goals :

Knowledge of the Dutch pharmaceutical market regarding trends, regulations, financing and market dynamics

Knowledge and experience in oncology and hematology specialist area’s

Strong networker and personal skills to develop a solid external stakeholder network

Able to discuss the clinical and economic value of our products

Knowledge of pricing and reimbursement processes and regulations in the NL

Knowlegde of value based health care propositions and offerings

  • Anticipates quickly to developments in the market and can translate into threats / opportunities for business teams and GSK strategies
  • Result driven communicator

    Preferred Qualifications :

    If you have the following characteristics, it would be a plus :

    Knowledge and basic understanding of health outcomes and pharmacoeconomic principles

    Knowlegde of market access processes, payer value propositions, evidence generation and P&R scenarios.

    Strong persuasion skills and logical thinker

    Good analytic skills and conceptual thinker

    Communication and negotiating skills

    Creative and improvisation skills

    Joint worker, pro-active, independent
