Our EMEA brand support center in Hoofddorp is looking for an Account Planner.

The responsibilities of the Account Planner encompass all the functions of sales forecasting associated with EMEA key accounts.

This position is responsible for continuously improving the forecasting process and most importantly its accuracy, by facilitating the dialog with our key account Managers, but also our key counterparts in Merchandising, Supply and Inventory Planning.

The Account Planner will contribute to In Season Management and long-term planning to align strategic business needs in collaboration with the Channel Demand planner.

What will you do?

Lead and execute the collaborative account planning process

  • Partner with sales team to generate a detailed sales plan at material level for each of the key accounts to support commercial targets
  • Make recommendations to Sales team to address corporate gaps and / or discrepancies.
  • Responsible for routine reporting to sales reps including ATP, channel excess, bookings by season, shipments by month, open orders, etc.
  • Prepare sales meeting materials and forecast templates for sales reps to input seasonal plans
  • Collaborate between Sales, Finance and Merchandising teams to drive revenue goals
  • Manage reconciliation between bottom-up plans and financial targets
  • Monitor and evaluate performance of the account plans

  • Monitor ongoing demand and inventory needs especially for key items
  • Analyze POS data in order to assist Accounts in the management of their business - ensuring margin and turn goals are met by identifying opportunities and liabilities in customer inventory
  • Monthly and Seasonal analysis of Account Consumption against Plan (pre-books and at-once)
  • Leverage the forecast accuracy metric and customer metrics to drive forecast improvements
  • Utilize and measure key category, marketing / merchandising, and customer information as inputs to the planning process

  • Conduct quantitative analysis and insights to optimize pre-season planning and to manage demand shifts in-season
  • Provide input to the development of wholesale planning reporting and analytics activities to ensure account productivity and optimal inventory investment
  • Acquire a deep understanding of the demand drivers and ensure the plans are calibrated accordingly
  • Ensure that Supply Planning constraints are appropriately accounted for in the Sales Forecast
  • Inventory Management and Reporting

  • Provide an executive overview of the plans to the merch, planning and management teams, identifying deviations, potential risks or opportunities in the business
  • Develop allocation recommendations in times of constraints and monitor execution
  • Work closely with Demand Planning to understand inventory risks and opportunities
  • Minimum Education :

  • Required bachelor’s degree in business, engineering or supply chain related field
  • Minimum Experience :

  • 2-3 years of experience as a buyer, planner, analyst, account manager in consumer goods industry (retail and / or wholesale).
  • Strong preference for footwear or fashion / apparel industry experience
  • Knowledge, Skills & Abilities :

  • Demonstrated results in forecast management activities
  • Understanding of inventory management, S&OP or integrated business planning process
  • Strong communication, presentation, analytical and problem-solving skills required
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence without authority, gain buy-in and drive consensus.
  • Proven ability to articulate business requirements and formulate concise solutions to complex problems
  • Excellent Microsoft Excel skills
  • Travel Requirements :

  • up to 10% travel might be required
