Oracle Gen 2 Exadata Cloud at Customer uniquely combines the world’s #1 database technology and Oracle Exadata, the most powerful database platform, with the simplicity, agility, and elasticity of a cloud-based deployment.

It is identical to Oracle Database Exadata Cloud Service, but located in customers’ own data centers and managed by Oracle Cloud experts.

What You’ll Do

You will be our Oracle Cloud advocate! You will be the trusted advisor who enables your

customers to transform their IT & business processes by leveraging Oracle Cloud Infrastructure

OCI) platform and related services.

To be successful you will need to be a proactive multitasking account manager, who :

  • Identifies (workload) opportunities at customers who would benefit from Oracle’s broad range of OCI solutions - and ensure these customers understand our value-adding propositions
  • Develops these opportunities with the broader Oracle sales team (Cloud Engineers, etc.) and manages the internal process / project required to develop the right solution proposal for the customer.
  • Communicates compellingly and supports stakeholders at customers - where possible involving external Oracle partners to close the deal and kick-off migration & innovation efforts swiftly
  • Works with Oracle colleagues to ensure a terrific customer experience for all customers, supporting them in getting the most out of their Oracle OCI investments.
  • Using our products is the measure of success.

  • Drives the transfer of more workloads and increases the usage of our OCI solutions. We aim to support larger shares of our customers’ business needs as time goes on!
  • To ensure you set yourself and your customers up for success, you will be expected to :

  • Be(come) an expert in Oracle’s OCI offerings and be passionate about changing the IT landscapes at your customers with our state-of-the-art offerings.
  • Meet with stakeholders at your customers on strategic and tactical / operational levels you will cold-call new accounts, follow-up with established contacts, set-up meetings and conference calls, hold workshops, present solutions, etc.
  • etc. You will create the professional relationships you need to become a trusted advisor for your customers.

  • Independently develop and execute sales plans that allow you to work strategically and operationally on your entire customer base / territory there are targets to achieve, and you will build an action plan on how to get there.
  • Develop relationships and collaborate with our external partners (such as for example Capgemini, Ordina, Accenture, and many others) to define, recommend, and drive customer centric sales efforts.
  • Manage the internal Oracle processes to ensure approvals & order documents can progress and you highlight your developments with (Senior) Management
  • Support broader customer engagement and go-to-market efforts designed by Oracle colleagues to connect with customers, including (but not limited to) our business development campaigns, marketing strategies, lead follow-ups, event attendance, reference-building efforts.

  • 5+ years of experience in software sales, with a preference for Cloud Service experience.

  • Strong communication skills, including compelling storytelling (strategic & tactical level). We need you to communicate professionally in both English and Dutch.

  • An ability to collaborate and a commitment to being both a strong project manager and a reliable team member.     Detailed Description and Job Requirements

    Sells a subset of product or services directly or via partners to a large number of named accounts / non-named accounts / geographical territory (mainly Tier 3 accounts).

    Primary job duty is to sell technology software products and related services in a defined territory. Identifies, qualifies and closes new opportunities.

    Manages accounts including the entire sales process from business development prospecting and specifications through contract negotiations, signing, and post-sales support.

    Leverages the Oracle sales model to maximize revenue growth and increase local market share. Builds and expands business partner revenue and self sufficiency.

    Job duties are varied and complex, needing independent judgment. May have project lead role. 5 years field sales experience including technology sales experience.

    Ability to forecast, manage sales expenses, and successfully close new Oracle business. Business development, prospecting and presentation skills.

    Excellent communication skills and problem solving ability. Proven track record of exceeding sales objective and territory / account development.

    Experience as the focal point for clients for all sales and related issues. Oracle knowledge and / or knowledge of Oracle*s competitors.

    Travel may be needed. Bachelor degree or equivalent.
