Pharmaceutical Operations (Pharm Ops) is located in Oss, Netherlands. Pharm Ops is responsible for the manufacturing, packaging and distribution of pharmaceutical end products to over more than 100 countries.

Core business is to ensure medicines are delivered in a safe, reliable and cost-effective way.

Within Pharm Ops the Integrated Process Team (IPT) Solids Packaging is responsible for packaging of the wide range of Solids products.

IPT Solids Packaging is a self-reliant business unit that includes approximately 170 team members, containing packaging operations, maintenance & reliability, process automation, planning & scheduling, quality and EHS compliance, technical support for the shop-floor and key strategic investment projects.

Primary responsibilities

Reporting into the Director Operations (IPT Lead) we are looking for a senior leader, who will have the ambition and potential to grow to an IPT Lead role within a time frame of 2-3 years.

This should be accomplished by driving change and working for different organizational entities within Pharm Ops.

In this role you will be responsible for :

  • Leading complex improvement projects;
  • Leading the implementation of industrial transfers to facilitate our company’s global industrial footprint strategy;
  • Realizing productivity targets and management of the productivity funnel;
  • Developing project management capabilities in Pharm Ops;
  • Program Management in line with the Pharm Ops strategy;
  • Other responsibilities :

    Strategy

  • Supporting the IPT Lead in translating strategic goals into operational targets.
  • Operational Excellence

  • Responsible for driving operational excellence across multiple factories in Pharm Ops.
  • Project / Program Management

  • Responsible for the initiation, prioritization and execution of productivity improvements and projects;
  • Leading complex improvement projects and developing project management (and other) capabilities in Pharm Ops;
  • Representing the IPT Lead in steering committees of multiple complex (transfer) projects.
  • Build Talent

  • Developing LEAN leadership capabilities, program and project management capabilities in Pharm Ops;
  • Close collaboration with site leadership team members.
  • Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in a technical area, business administration or supply chain management;
  • At least 10 years of operations experience in the pharmaceutical and / or medical device industry including significant leadership roles;
  • Proven change management capabilities;
  • Excellent project management skills;
  • Track record in successful LEAN implementation;
  • Structured and strategic thinker;
  • Entrepreneurial spirit and strong personality;
  • Excellent social and communication skills;
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in both English and Dutch.
