Having a reliable, future-oriented IT infrastructure within our organization is an absolute must for this. And that’s what our team of experienced and enthusiastic system administrators is committed to!

Your team is responsible for our Dutch office IT management. The Netherlands is the focal point of the management, with best practices for other international offices developed here.

Your task will be the Lead System Administrator for the team in the Netherlands, but you will also be in regular touch with your colleague in Germany and in any other countries we will expand to in the future.

Your responsibility

The system administration department employees are all-rounders performing a wide range of projects. That means variety and lots of things for you to tackle.

The team is responsible for keeping all the equipment, the network and the connections working smoothly. Your experience will show what a serious challenge this is, with constant attention needed (often ad hoc) to keep it all up and running!

You will spend part of your time dealing with operational tasks, but you’ll also contribute proactively to projects aimed at new developments and growing our organization.

So it’s not just about the now’; your role also has a definite focus on tomorrow’! Among the responsibilities :

  • Dealing with complex incidents (2nd / 3rd line) independently;
  • Acting as coordinator for incidents and problems
  • Also acting as coordinator for incidents, problems, changes and projects outside your own field of expertise when required;
  • Supporting colleagues and acting as a source of information within your own field of expertise;
  • Communicating knowledge to colleagues based on the relevant expertise in your own field;
  • Contributing pro-actively to suggestions for improving the technical management;
  • Reviewing the server or storage infrastructure architecture and putting forward suggestions for improvement;
  • Setting up the server management system based on designs drawn up by architects;
  • Performing capacity, configuration and change management for the server or storage infrastructure;
  • Performing technical server management for specialist area;

    What you bring :

  • Completed studies at the higher vocational level;
  • At least five years of work experience in a similar position;
  • MCSE certification is an advantage;
  • Network knowledge covering firewalls and switching;
  • Skills in plan- and project-based work;
  • Strong analytical skills and eager to learn;
  • You are self-assured and resilient;
  • A customer- and results-oriented attitude;
  • A good command of both Dutch and English;
  • A good sense of humour!
