Our Distribution Business Unit in Europe consists of a distributor and dealer support network. They deliver reliable sales and service of durable and high performing engine, generator set and aftermarket products to our regionally based (global) partners.

This is an exciting opportunity in Europe for a GIS Security Regional Advisor

Your impact will be seen in these and other ways :

Manages initiatives within a specific functional area or program of the Cummins Global Security team. Manages relevant security programs at a regional or country level, across all Cummins business units and functions.

  • Implements the strategy for the functional area; leads cross-functional and cross-business unit projects; communicates plans, strategy, and execution at all levels;
  • identifies and prioritizes focus and programs.

  • Manages the development and implementation of security programs; develops and implements related corporate policies and procedures;
  • provides technical expertise to business units in developing and implementing security plans; develops integrated security solutions.

    Manages activities and budgets to annual operating plan.

  • Develops and leads teams to assess needs, implement, and integrate security programs; leads education and cultural awareness training for the specific functional area council and working group;
  • monitors internal and external controls; executes pilot programs to address critical requirements.

  • Leads security for events impacting Cummins entities, employees, and corporate activities; serves as subject matter expert to the business units and Cummins corporate entities;
  • coordinates with business unit personnel responsible for security to implement new corporate policies and initiatives.

  • Liaises with local, state, and federal law enforcement and intelligence agencies; manages and coordinates with vendors, partner, and consultants to develop and manage security intelligence and programs;
  • manages vendor contracts; identifies potential security partners based on knowledge of the market.

    Maintains a strong understanding of best practice security systems and tools; identifies, analyzes and reacts to global security trends and issues in security technology.

    Develops methods for testing and reviewing security systems; develops audit and review schedules; incorporates audit and review processes into corporate policy.

    Monitors key performance indicators and cross-functional reporting metrics for benchmarking and measurement; presents results and recommendations to leadership.

    Communicates with key stakeholders and functional leaders for the program.

  • Recruits, selects, develops, manages, motivates, coaches, and mentors managers and staff; provides guidance and direction on problems and issues;
  • delegates works assignments considering employee skills and development needs.


    Skills and Experience Required :

    Sets the operational direction and vision for the security program by communicating plans, strategy, and execution at all levels of the ABO.

    Meets with Senior Management and select committees to review state of security program, strategies for improvement to address new and enhanced threats and vulnerabilities.

    Briefs executive management on status of security issues.

    Develops and monitors internal and external controls; identifies and develops pilot programs to address critical requirements.

    Develops key performance indicators and cross-functional reporting metrics for bench marking and measurement.

    Works with ABO leadersin handling complex security issues, and leads the actions on those issues when necessary.

    Identifies, analyzes and reacts to security trends and issues.

    Supports ABO leaders as a subject matter expert.

    Works with lead investigator during the deployment and execution of investigations withinthe region.

    Develops close relationships with high-level law enforcement and international counterparts to include in-country security and International Security agencies, intelligence and private sector counterparts worldwide.

    Implements global security approved technology & equipment standards.

    Develops ABO specific Executive Protection Program.

    Identifies and manages security related risk within the ABO’s supply chain.

    Manages the Crisis Action Management Program (CAMP) within the ABO.

    Expatriate risk evaluation and management.

    Ensures the security of business travelers coming into the ABO (airport meet and greet program, transportation and security briefings).

    Develops a journey management program for technicians, sales personnel of managers traveling to high-risk locations within the ABO.

    Works with vendors to provide valuable, ABO specific intelligence.

    Required Education, Licenses or Certifications

    Master’s degree or international equivalent in the area of study relevant to this position and / or more major law enforcement, intelligence, public service or private sector.

    Bachelor’s degree or international equivalent in the designated area and experience with a major law enforcement, intelligence, public or private sector

    Compensation and Benefits

    Salary £61,500 to £68,500 (Dependent on experiencer)
