Main purpose of the job

We are looking for a Scrum Master to join two or more of our development squads. The role is meant for someone with a hands-on attitude since it has a focus on delivery and handling of dependencies.

You will be responsible for improving the performances of the teams velocity, sprint goals met, epics delivered), effectively managing communication and dependencies between teams and other stakeholders, helping the teams to deliver on time, and radiating information and performance metrics across the organization.

In this role, you :

Drive the teams’ delivery to production, coordinating work across teams and backlogs;

Ensure deliverables are up to quality standards at the end of each sprint;

Resolve and mitigate delivery challenges and impediments, supporting conversations across all departments to set expectations and agree on timelines;

Proactively communicate performance (to internal and external stakeholders) through appropriate tools and metrics including sprint reports, burn down charts, cycle times, etc;

Support team members in the coordination of sprints, daily stand-ups, planning and retrospectives;

Ensure the team is highly functioning, challenged and motivated;

Help with planning and distribution of work within the team, oversee backlog refinement, estimations, and workload forecast with developers and Product Owner;

Identify ways to improve processes so they are lean and efficient while meeting business delivery requirements in line with the product goals;

Encourage problems to be raised openly and facilitate constructive debates that lead to positive outcomes;

Perform other duties as assigned.

Minimal qualifications :

A bachelor’s degree (preferably in IT, business administration, or healthcare management);

Minimum 2 years of experience as Scrum Master / (IT) Project Manager / IT project lead demonstrated ability to effectively lead IT teams in their delivery);

Familiarity with project management methodologies and Scrum framework;

Demonstrated ability to interface with executives and stakeholders regarding issues of project scope and status;

Expertise in the fundamentals of iterative and incremental software development (you understand software development life cycle);

Fluent in English;

Excellent interpersonal skills; proficient team building, leadership, people management and mentoring skills;

Personal qualities of integrity, credibility, professionalism, and a commitment to CarePay’s mission to Give People Power to Care.

Nice to have :

Expertise in managing multiple concurrent projects, activities and tasks under time constraints;

Highly effective risk management and mitigation skills;

Experienced in moderating, coaching and conflict resolution;

Previous experience with digital insurance or healthcare;

Scrum Master Certification or a Project Management Certification.
