As the business is growing, Ecolab is seeking three Technical Equipment Specialists (f / m) in our European Equipment Support Team in Leiden, the Netherlands.
As Technical Equipment Specialist, you will be part of the European Engineering team, who are taking care of implementing Ecolab’s equipment and digital solutions at our customers’ sites.
In the team of European Equipment support center, you will be working as a subject matter expert to support industrial customers, Ecolab field representatives, local engineers, and third-party service providers on topics such as standard equipment, automation, and data sharing.
The Equipment Support Center in Leiden currently consists of 5 enthusiastic employees with different nationalities. While everyone has their own responsibilities, we are working closely together in a friendly atmosphere to help each other and to come to solutions for the challenges we hear from the field.
Currently, due to the Covid-19 measures, we are all working from home. This means that communication and working together is mostly done remotely and online.
When the Covid-19 situation changes, you can work from the Leiden business center where we have an open-office space with equipment dedicated to simulating site issues and test / validate technical solutions.
As Technical Equipment specialist (f / m) you will be the central point to whom equipment- and digital-related questions from customers and colleagues will be addressed from the whole of Europe, that can be through telephone calls and e-mail, web chat or instant messaging.
Based on your knowledge and expertise, you will handle the first troubleshooting queries with your colleagues, do background investigations and you will be required to use your creative innovative and pragmatic skills to provide actionable tips to solve the onsite challenges.
For questions that go beyond your and the local team’s expertise, you will reach out to other global experts, either in other regions or other functions, such as industry consultants or RD&E.
In addition to troubleshooting, you will support field colleagues with technical documentation and Return Merchandizing Authorization (RMA) procedures.
You will interact with other departments to ensure that the learnings of you and the team are included in future communications.
