In this role, you have the opportunity to
Accelerate innovation and the creation of new healthcare products that matter. Together with a multi-disciplinary project team you will provide the input for the development of cellular IoT platform components (hardware and software) and the expertise for the integration of these components into healthcare products of our customers.
The emphasis of your tasks lies on the evaluation of the device-side connectivity in a simulated and live context, and translation of the learnings into improvements of the automated test system and requirements for platform development and product integration.
You are responsible for
As Cellular IoT Specialist you will be working on / with both hardware and (embedded) software building blocks to realize an end-to-end connectivity solution. This includes :
Building-up and maintaining relevant domain knowledge for cellular IoT connectivity (focusing on the device-side), helping our customers (consultancy), and supporting the implementation, integration and verification of (platform) building blocks and solutions.
Evaluation and characterization (partly automated) of existing and / or purchased connectivity modules (hardware and software) to be used in healthcare products.
Supporting the requirements definition, translation into accurate design specifications and documentation, and definition and documentation of test scenarios.
Supporting the creation of project plans in consultation with customer and other partners, ensuring clarity on requirements, effort and deliverables.
Supporting the application of safety and quality standards like IEC60601-1, IEC62304, UL, CE, EU MDR, FDA to complex (electronic) systems in the healthcare domain.
Communication of technical progress towards customers and the project team.

To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience
A Bachelor or Master degree in Electronics, or Electronic or Software Engineering.
At least 3 years of relevant and proven experience in the hardware / system development of (wireless) connected products and systems, preferably in the medical domain.
Experience with the implementation and verification at the device-side of cellular IoT standards (4G / 5G, LTE CAT-M1, NB-IoT) in a consumer / professional product environment, and their :
key components, hardware (including the radio part) and firmware.
complex eco-systems and application domains.
Knowledge of standards that apply to Connectivity (FCC, ETSI, IEEE, ), and standards that apply to the development of electronic systems in general and / or the healthcare domain in particular.
Experience with tooling for test-automation (e.g. Python) is preferred.
Consistent track record of applying a structured and precise way of working.
Excellent communication skills and a customer centric approach, and a problem solving and pragmatic attitude.
Experience with working in a dynamic, multi-disciplinary and multi-site development teams.
