Position Description : Sales Engineer
Pumps & Seals
This person will be responsible for executing and coordinating all sales activities for the assigned territory in the Netherlands by securing orders for Service, Repair, Upgrades, Spare Parts and New Equipment for both Pumps and Mechanical Seals.
The goal is to maintain good business relations with the customer base and also develop and establish new customer relations for Pumps and Mechanical Seals and to further grow the business for Flowserve in the Netherlands.
The position will be based in the Netherlands and reports directly to the Sales Manager Netherlands.
This territory based role requires a dynamic, self-motivated individual who understands the local market needs and opportunities and has the ability to successfully communicate to achieve growth.
The successful candidate will offer sales experience in both Pumps & Seals and experience in the Chemical and Petro-Chemical industry of the Netherlands.
Also a good understanding of the culture and language of the above mentioned area is required.
Position Requirements :
Duties and Responsibilities :
Develop and prepare an annual strategic sales plan for the assigned area and customer base, based on market opportunities consistent with the Flowserve strategic objectives.
Plan, implement and ensure that the area sales plan is met or exceeded.
Meet annual financial and non-financial goals as agreed by management.
Maintain high level customer contacts.
Offer products at established prices and discounts and in line with Flowserve total sales and product mix objectives.
Develop and maintain good contacts with the Flowserve factories, aftermarket organization and Commercial Operations so customer needs are addressed swiftly.
Provide active support to Continuous Improvement Process (CIP) initiatives.
Support the Flowserve 2.0 Transformation process by active participation into the Commercial Intensity Program and participate in the Weekly Activity Room (WAR Room) process.
Support and fully own the FlowForce CRM program for assigned customers and use the program as the primary Sales tool which drives future business growth.
Provide professional communication and implementation of company’s strategies and policies.
Preferences : Qualifications :
Minimal Bachelor Degree of Science in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.
Extensive proven relevant experience in Rotating equipment, Repairs & Upgrades and Sales of technical products.
Result / Service driven and customer focused.
Background in aftermarket development is preferred.
Demonstrated skills in communication, presentation and influencing.
Communicating skills : Fluent working knowledge of the Dutch and English language verbally and in writing.
Team-player, with well-developed interpersonal and social skills.
Proven time management and organizational skills.
IT literate MS Office, include Excel skills, and computerized Sales systems such as SalesForce.
Ability to develop effective working relationships at all levels within the business.
Commitment to implement best practices in Sales, and motivate others.
