The role

Reporting to our CEO, Juul Manders, the Commercial Director at BALR. is responsible for the development and execution of the overall commercial strategy of our brand.

You’ll be acting as a true leader and inspirer for all disciplines who contribute to this success. It’s a crucial role in which you’ll directly manage the sales channels E-commerce, Retail and Wholesale as well as inspire teams such as Content.

Next to the revenue growth objective you ensure these teams are aligned to reach our full global potential. The total scope of this role is 3 direct and (approx.) 100 indirect reports.

Your responsibilities

  • Develop and implement sales and marketing strategies aligned with sales channels (E-commerce, Wholesale and Retail) as well as monitor the execution;
  • Manage, guide and inspire sales and marketing teams to deliver KPI’s and other key objectives;
  • Design and execute business development plans that contribute to global revenue growth;
  • Act as an inspirer for the teams and a strategic business partner to the Board;
  • Liaise with other internal stakeholders, such as Finance and Supply Chain Management, to ensure business growth and global expansion;
  • Create business development opportunities and collaborations;
  • Develop high performing and winning teams.

  • MSc. degree in Marketing Management, Business Administration or equivalent;
  • 8+ years of experience in a Commercial, Sales and / or Marketing Director position;
  • Proven track record in developing sales and marketing strategies for A-brands;
  • Experienced in the fashion and / or lifestyle industry is a huge plus;
  • Experienced in managing omni-channel teams;
  • You’re a native Dutch and fluent English speaker;
  • An innovative and a data driven mindset;
  • Result-driven with a getting things done mentality.
