At IFF, we are doing our part to make a positive difference in the world. Our Environmental, Health & Safety (EHS) department is responsible for setting comprehensive safety policies and procedures to guide our employees and operations.
We are seeking a Regulatory Specialist EHS who will support the implementation of IFF’s safety and environmental programs globally, with initial emphasis in the EU Region.
The programs include worker safety, process safety, and environmental, and the best practices related to operations and specific initiatives related to regulatory requirements.
The Regulatory Specialist EHS is part of the EHS Global Regulatory Affairs department and reports to the Vice President, Global EHS.
Responsibilities include handling technical aspects of EHS initiatives, serving as an internal consultant on regulatory issues, and related decision-making for operations.
You will spend your time :
Acting as technical support for related engineering and regulatory issues raised by EHS Assessment Reports and facility EH&S / Site Managers, Government Authorities or Corporate Engineers.
Participating in Process Safety Management and Risk Management Plan audits.
Developing and providing related training.
About you :
To be successful in this role you have a minimum of 7-10 years of relevant work experience in a chemical, flavor / fragrance or consumer product industrial site (manufacturing) in a safety / process safety / environmental capacity.
You are an expert in safety standards, monitoring methods, ventilation control, environment testing and related control equipment.
You have worked in a regulatory settings handling safety and environment matters.
You are able to work independently, you are known for your passion, drive, influencing skills and cross-cultural agility which allow you to successfully operate and deliver within a technical environment.
You will need to demonstrate working knowledge of regulatory compliance in safety and environmental programs such as OSHA, EPA, EU-
OSHA, EU environment, HSE, Environment Agency or specific country equivalent and maintaining legally required programs. Finally, you have a Bachelor of Science in Engineering (Chemical or Mechanical), Chemistry or equivalent in a science-based discipline.What you need :
