TheTerminal Automation Technical Specialist will be responsible for working with thecustomer throughout the lifetime of a project, starting with initial clientdiscussions, working as part of the sales team (consultative selling),supporting the project from design to successful completion and winning repeatbusiness.
The specialist will be working primarily in the Oil & Gas industry,providing leadership to the project team and mentoring resources.
Key focus ison the ability to create a vision for terminal automation using Syncade & DeltaV solutions and to be able to articulate that vision both tothe customer and the project team.
The specialist must excel in a fast-pacedand dynamic environment. Personal credibility in front of customers isessential.
This may also include the provision of FEED studies.
Provide solution and engineering estimates fortenders, including assessment and advice on technical and commercial risksduring the pursuit of potential Terminal Automation projects and ensure thatrisks are properly addressed during both the sales and execution phases.
Achieve customer satisfaction by creating continuitybetween sales and execution process and by ensuring common understanding ofrequirements between customer, sales and execution team.
Perform high-level business and technical analysessuch as value-stream mapping, requirements definition, validation planning, andgap analyses from user requirements.
Maintain industry expertise and TerminalAutomation knowledge leadership, working with subject matter experts and industrysolutions groups.
Follow the project into the delivery phase providingsupport and consultancy to the project technical lead / senior team members andattend significant customer progress meetings.
Previous experience of business process mapping,requirements analysis, scope definition (and then managing a project to thatscope), design and implementation of process control solutions
Proven project management and technical leadershipexperience
Excellent knowledge and solid experience with ProcessControl systems, data integration, server hardware and networks. Knowledge ofMES and ERP systems is preferred
Excellent verbal, written communication andpresentation skills
Fluent English (written and spoken) with additionallanguages preferred
Willingness to travel inEurope (up to 50%) is mandatory, travel can be for shorter periods of time orlonger assignments (e.
g. assessments, tests at customer site) as required.
