For our client we are looking to recruit a Project Buyer Senior.
Helps business to draw up the list of project requirements ;
Ensures risk assessments are conducted and implements corrective action plans ;
Helps define the project’s Procurement strategy (with relevant Category Managers) based on its technical requirements, translating project targets into Procurement targets ;
Ensures to inform and get the necessary approvals from the General Procurement Committee (GPC) ;
Implements the Procurement strategy for the project.
Organizes calls for tender and selects providers and suppliers who meet the project requirements and the Procurement strategy, working with the business line ;
Negotiates with suppliers and decides on the contractual terms with the legal department ;
Implements a system for the on-going assessment of suppliers and subcontractors in order to guarantee the level of performance and quality of deliverables ;
Maintains good relationships with suppliers in order to obtain the best contractual conditions possible.
Lead the contracts negotiation ;
Monitors the execution of contracts with Business ;
Ensures deadlines and quality requirements are met ;
Ensures supplies comply with Group health and safety, ethical and environmental protection standards and with local regulations ;
Assesses suppliers performance ;
Monitors the budget ;
Issues warnings for failure to comply with deadlines and quality requirements.
Makes savings and increases performance by identifying ways to improve the quality of services;
Adds competitive advantages to the Procurement side of a project and thereby helps optimize the Entity’s commercial offers.
Provides reliable and comprehensive reporting in order to help the steering of Procurement activities and the business ;
Obtains and distributes feedback.
Obtains supplier intelligence ;
Optimizes the panel of potential suppliers ;
Identifies any changes in technologies, competitors or the economy that could affect the progress of a project, throughout its duration.
Provide instructions and referenced documentation
Make sure that methods and tools are known and used within the team ;
Improve methods and processes, steer towards a lean and efficient team.
Ensuring Group rules and policies (internal and external) are applied throughout the Procurement process
Be well connected and collaborate constructively with all internal and external customers and all local procurement teams
Support but also challenge the internal / external customers
Bring added value to the internal and external customers, save or create more value than our internal costs
Follow all governance rules
Experience in EPC projects management ;
Understanding of EPC project structuring and technical / financing options for large-scale projects ;
Experience in procurement (contracts management, negotiation, internal controls) ;
Knowledge of electricity markets (constraints, objectives, technical solutions) ;
Strong business ethics ;
Multi-tasking and organizational skills, with ability to prioritize objectives and tasks ;
Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment (Europe) ;
Ability to meet scheduled and demanding timelines ;
Languages : English, French, Dutch
