This year the new Agile structure in our Technology Organisation will be introduced and we are looking for a Digital Engineering Tribe Lead to help us build this important part of our new organisation and lead the Tribe.
You will be challenged to start small and create something bigger, enforce growth, engage people and create a movement. You will build bridges between current’ and new ways of working, inspire people and motivate your tribe members to join the change.
This is what you do
The Digital Engineering Tribe Leader provides leadership to the Tribe and coordinates between (Lead) Product Owners, Chapter Leads, CoE’s and other Tribes to ensure the direction of the Tribe’s targets, KPIs and the business goals (e.
g. P&L, NPS, market share, time-to-market, systems availability), are clear. With end-to-end ownership of the business outcomes and user journeys delivered scoped by the Product Owners the Tribe Lead will work with wider business stakeholders and lead squads, of up to 150 talented people.
Your primary accountabilities are :
Being the enabler of the Tribe vision, through alignment of the roadmap to the strategy and business objectives, clearly focused on the customer or end user;
Defining the longer term vision of the Tribe, support the experience roadmaps and make product lifecycle decisions;
Ensure that the Agile way of working is understood and lived in her / his Tribe and surrounding ecosystems;
Lead the identification and evaluation of internal digital capabilities and external opportunities;
Own the investment portfolio and business outcomes of the Tribe;
Interact with Technology to understand the key properties and changes to the technology infrastructure and to determine the best way to work with technology restrictions and limitations;
Support the Product Owner(s), through coaching, to validate solutions for implementation and defines the high level acceptance criteria.
As Digital Engineering Tribe Lead you will be part of the Technology team and you will work closely together with the product owners, chapter leads and CoE Leads.
The role is based in our fantastic state of the art new central office in the heart of Utrecht (Hoog Catherijne). A centrally located meeting place with an office, an experience center and a shop.

You’ve got what it takes
15+ years of relevant professional experience; the ideal candidate possess Agile Knowledge & Know How : Understand agile methodologies (e.
g. Kanban, Lean, Scrum, Design Thinking) and can transform business into agile ways of working. Identifies and introduces innovation that has a transformative impact on the business model, such as applying agile / lean to rapidly enter new markets;
10+ years of leadership experience of which 2 years within a scaled agile environment like SAFe or Spotify;
Experience in commodity markets like energy, banking, telecoms, or insurance;
Certified Product Owner;
Business acumen & insights : clear understanding of industry trends, economic, financial and market dynamics, and demonstrate business foresight and entrepreneurship to contribute to the wider business strategy;
Decision maker : with a sharp focus in giving direction, has the courage and ability to make decisions with an end-to-end view, cross business units in cooperation with the relevant stakeholders;
Resilient : maintains a positive attitude using a continuous learning approach to learn from mistakes;
Strong interpersonal skills to develop relationships with key stakeholders.

Based on a 40-hour workweek :
