Function
As a system leader you work in a specialization within the development of engines. This specialization lies, for example, in filters and systems, the after-treatment system and the like.
You will focus on a correct match between requested specifications versus legal standards. This allows you to organize tests / experiments to validate a development, so that it is / is not displayed for production.
In any case, you provide specific advice to engineering in order to arrive at a definitive and successful design.
Your position has been taken on a subdivision basis :
Development of after-treatment performance to achieve development objectives, e.g. to comply with future emission regulations
Development of problem solutions and implementation of solutions in close cooperation with internal and external development partners
Development of test procedures for calibration and supervision of heavy aftertreatment tests of engines on engine dynos
Development of calibration and control strategies for after treatment systems
Documentation and evaluation of test results
Planning and development of validation test procedures for the supervision of heavy aftertreatment tests of engines on engine dynos and vehicles
Support of applications for after-treatment applications related to motor vehicles
Testing the exhaust gas after-treatment system (after)
Collaboration in project teams
Requirements
This position is extremely suitable as a first job after completing the TU. In the event that you have relevant work experience, the work level is adjusted.
The following basic requirements apply :
Master's degree in mechanical engineering from automotive
Knowledge of engines, thermodynamics, combustion and / or control technology
Interest in diesel or exhaust gas after-treatment applications
Structured work approach combined with pleasure in working in teams
Enthusiasm to deal with complex engine exhaust gas after-treatment systems and to have a lot of fun developing solutions to complex technical problems
Experience with tools for setting data set, e.g. Calterm, AVL Creta and Matlab are preferred
Communicative skills and a proactive attitude
Good Dutch and English skills
