In this role, you have the opportunity to

Take on the design, realization and test of a system, subsystem or component in accordance with the higher-level Requirement and -

Design specifications / architectures.

You are responsible for

  • The implementation of the design and / or coaching others during the implementation
  • Developing the work with focus on consumer needs and technological competitiveness and keep this outside-in approach in mind for the created designs
  • Determining the Unit Interfaces (HW / SW), in consultation with relevant disciplines
  • Ensuring that there is proper documentation for the developed software
  • Understanding and communicating the consequences of his / her design on the architecture, including aspects like security and privacy but also operational costs
  • Staying up-to-date on technical developments in the field through study, and technical contacts
  • Actively sharing knowledge with the team and larger software community of the department & business
  • Giving guidance to the Work Breakdown Structure / the planning process of his / her area
  • Inspiring other team members to get the job done

    You are part of the Software Development Group in the Personal Health - Mother and Child Care business. Within Mother & Child Care we are working on supporting parents during the first 1000 days, pregnancy, birth and first development years.

    This team supports new product development in the core product portfolio and both develops and maintains these products in the field, in addition we are supporting our Venture and Solutions team working on new business creation.

    The software development team has a large experience in product development and continuously increases software craftsmanship, both on technical, process and operational aspects.

    To succeed in this role, you should have the following skills and experience

  • Bachelor or master’s degree in software engineering or similar
  • 3-5 years of experience in technical / product software development
  • A broad interest of programming languages, with expertise in minimum one language : C / C++, Java, Objective-C / Swift
  • Understanding of cloud technologies, software as a service and operational aspects like OTA-updates and DevOps
  • Understanding of risk reduction technologies of amongst others security by design Software modeling
  • Very good communication skills
  • Experience with iterative development processes
  • Fluent in English
  • Can-do and proactive way of working
