How can we use existing fleet management information to advise the next truck. The problem is two-folded.
Agregate the fleet management data of a customer truck to the standardised route parts. So that any salesmen can use this information in his next quote to the customer.
Filter from the fleet management data those trips that are suitable for an electrical driveline. Advise when and where should be charged to have no additional waiting times in the operation.
Improve the method that overlays the vehicle trip data (the trip data has a 5 min sample time) to reconstruct an accurate vehicle payload / speed / slope profile.
Translate the payload / speed / slope profile into payload / standardised route parts
Extent the trip data overlay method from a vehicle to a fleet in order to create a parrato of reoccurring trips
Determine filter criteria for electrifiable trips (in conjunction with the driveline electrification assignment and Product development)
Filter trips suitable for electrification
Filter charging locations based on charging need and available time
Get familiar with TOPEC driveline model and simulations
Study previous connect assignment report
Get familiar with the scripting language R
Create a vehicle trip data translation to standardised route parts function
Create a fleet trip data to parrato of fleet trips
Define filter trip criteria (in conjunction with driveline electrification assignment and product development)
Filter trips suitable for electrification. Apply this for the pre sales customers for full electric trucks

DAF Trucks focuses on the development, production, marketing, sale and service of light, medium and heavy trucks. Driveline efficiency has always been of great interest of DAF in order to have a low Total Cost of Ownership for the customer.
In TOPEC the driveline can be optimized by comparing the difference in cost for 2 configurations based on standard route parts.
Can we based on fleetmanagement information select the relevant mixture of standerdized route parts for the driveline optimization.
With the electrification of the driveline the customer needs to be advised which routes in his fleet can are suitable for an full electric or hybrid driveline.
Where / when should be charged to operate the truck without time losses compared to a diesel driveline.
The department of Trucks Logistics; Projects and Support supports TOPEC. The TOPEC project team is an international team with on shore and off shore team members.
On shore there are 2 business analyst one for Driveline calculations and one for Layout calculations. The off shore team implements the calculations in Matlab Simulink.
