We are now looking for a Team Leader, ECP Publishing Support!
The ECP Team Leader will be part of the central Publishing Support Team responsible for editorial payments (finance) and contract support (legal).
The Publishing Support Team falls under the Publishing Services Department, one of the supporting units within Science, Technology and Medical Journals (STM Journals).
In this role, you will manage a team of Publishing Assistants who globally support publishing staff across the Physical Sciences, Life Sciences & Social Sciences and Health & Medical Sciences publishing units with the ultimate goal to support the acquisition, maintenance, and development of high-quality STM Journals content.
You will be based in Amsterdam, reporting to the Team Leader Publishing Support Staff.
Daily supervision of a team of 6 8 FTEs, including management of the annual performance cycle.
Sets ambitious targets (OKRs) for team members, and is responsible for delivery of overall team results
Contribute to ongoing improvement of operational excellence of ECPs’ processes, systems and workflows
Initiate and participate in improvement projects.
Display advanced problem solving skills and is able to coach more junior staff to a senior level
Acts as the liaison / POC for senior staff in STMJ, being a spokesperson on behalf of the ECP team aligning annual budgeting and contracts review cycle.
What you should bring
College degree level
3+ years of people management experience in a customer service, sales support or supply chain environment
Ability to quickly learn Elsevier's databases and internal systems
Strong leadership and management skills, including coaching on performance, coordinating activities, quality and work process
Experience in onboarding new starters, evaluation and recruiting new talent
Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
Excellent people skills
