We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced and hands-on Logistics Engineer to join our Chartering & Logistics Department in Delft, the Netherlands.
The department is responsible for project logistics and supply chain management of line pipe across the organisation.
As Logistics Engineer, you take responsibility for the efficient and effective preparation and delivery of the logistics scope for Allseas’ projects.
The successful candidate will be well versed in supply chain management, logistics engineering and transportation, with excellent communication and negotiation skills.
This challenging role, within a dynamic, multi-disciplined department, calls for a stress-resistant team player who can multitask and prioritise in a high-
pressure environment. The role requires an on-site presence at the start of, and during projects.
Prepare the logistics scope and commercial and technical input for the Proposals Department
Prepare required documentation / procedures for project logistics scope of work
Arrange and monitor the progress of the transports and expedite as required
Arrange all on-location logistics facilities and services
Prepare and issue ITTs to subcontractors, review tender input, prepare bid evaluations and advise to management
Negotiate and prepare logistics contracts and charter parties
Maintain contact with logistics service providers and evaluate their performance
Arrange and expedite any payments and POs
Initiate, develop and execute plans and procedures to optimise existing logistics and material storage / distribution control processes
Provide budget forecast during project in comparison to the logistics budget
What we expect from you
BSc degree with a logistical or technical background
Minimum 2 years’ within logistics and maritime operations
Knowledge of all transport utilities and transport control systems
Willingness to travel 3-5 months per year
Basic knowledge of BIMCO charter parties
