The Business DevelopmentManager role focuses on identifying and winning large new and switchcustomers within the Key and Targeted Account groupings, providing overallaccount leadership and coaching to cross-functional account team members asneeded.

The Hunter role needs to prioritize and win new, large customeropportunities through meaningful market insight whilst understanding detailedmarket or product complexities and nuances.

The Business Development Manager actively seeks and buildsrelationships and on-boards new customers and ensures a clear handover of theaccount to the relevant product specialist, seller or account manager tocontinue the relationship, at the appropriate time.

CustomerFocus

  • LargePotential / New Customers various points of contact across the customerorganisation to initiate selling conversation
  • Maintainsworking knowledge of the customer’s business model, including their strategicgoals and objectives, position within their markets and their most significantcompetitors
  • Builds anetwork of trust-based relationships with key customer stakeholders that gobeyond the role of the clinician, including customer sponsors and supportersthat are willing to partner with Allergan Aesthetics for the purpose of valueco-creation and co-innovation
  • Evaluatesand assesses customer needs and requirements on an ongoing basis and engagescustomer in collaborative discussions with cross-functional team members toexplore possibilities and potential areas for value co-creation andco-innovation
  • Ensuresongoing knowledge of Allergan’s account history with the customer, and furtherensures that this knowledge is properly socialized across the Allergan cross-functionalteam
  • StrategicPlanning & Focus

  • Leads thedevelopment of effective account plans that are realistic, properly resourcedand appropriately sponsored, by both Allergan and the customer
  • Engagesconsultatively with customers and internal cross-functional team members toexplore and develop new possibilities for value co-creation and mutual growth
  • Developsand implements strategies that differentiate Allergan from other providers inour markets while evolving our engagement with key / strategic accounts to higherlevels of effectiveness
  • Conductsand facilitates ongoing collaborative strategy and visioning sessions with thecustomer to drive co-discovery of new opportunities
  • Workscollaboratively with cross-functional team members to ensure that strategicaccount planning processes and best practices are properly implemented anddeployed
  • Relationshipsand Influence

  • Builds andgrows strong trust-based relationships with customer stakeholders, sponsors andsupporters by understanding what matters most to them and engaging in ways thatpositively influences Allergan Aesthetics overall relationship and credibilitywith them
  • Engagescollaboratively with customer stakeholders, sponsors and supporters andfacilitates appropriate inclusion of Allergan cross-functional team members forthe purpose of understanding what matters most to them and pursuing valueco-creation and co-innovation together
  • Executionand Impact

  • Executesstrategic account plans by developing and implementing action plans that enableaccount market share increase, with both a short-term / opportunity focus, aswell as a long-term focus on the bigger picture of Allergan’s future with thecustomer
  • Proactivelydeploys tactics that support account strategies by setting realisticexpectations and driving execution of action plans by the Allergancross-functional team
  • Assumesaccountability for keeping account plans current, focused and realistic, aswell as ensuring that tactics are properly executed to drive market shareincrease
  • Establishesrealistic priorities for customer projects and initiatives and effectivelymanages deadlines, ensuring that important details aren’t missed due toconflicting priorities
  • Approachesinternal negotiations to increase in market share on behalf of account planexecution and value cocreation such that outcomes support the strategies of theplan and are win-win for all
  • Qualifications

  • Degree inBusiness or Scientific discipline
  • Min. 3 - 4years’ relevant experience
  • Experienceof Pharmaceutical, Medical Device or Healthcare market in general
  • Understandingcustomer s needs and experienced in developing Accounts
  • OutstandingBusiness mentality with excellent entrepreneurship
  • Experiencein business development and in creating new business
  • Motivatingand enthusiastic person with a winning attitude
  • Very goodstrategic thinking and strategic planning skills
  • Adaptability- Able to work in a fast, dynamic, multicultural and matrix structure
  • Excellentcommunication skills, both written and oral
  • Team player withstrong influencing skills and very good presentation skills
