Senior Financial Analyst


Our Finance team brings together our financial perspectives into our overall strategic and tactical decision making. We use state-of-the-art techniques for financial analysis, planning, accounting, reporting and performance evaluation.

Welcome in our team

This position is part of the COSI matrix organization, which performs end to end activities from actual occurrence of a financial result till consolidation level in HQ.

Main tasks will be maintaining, reviewing, reporting and analysing of sales, inventory, intercompany profit, production and product cost data in supporting the monthly accounting close and management cycles for 1 or multiple branches.

Further it is expected that you will be mentoring E2E Financial Analysts.

Main responsibilities

  • Responsible to maintain and create product cost according US GAAP rules.
  • Control, analyze and report production results and source to settle variances on a monthly basis to business partners by providing high level commentary and provided estimates for recurring events to major stakeholders.
  • Monitor inventory level and generate appropiate actions to avoid inventory risks and discards with stakeholders.
  • Review and ensure accurate data is reported per branch in monthly product cost, sales and inventory consolidation close.
  • Analyze and resolve intransit inventory in a timely manner following up to determine driver of inventory remaining intransit and partnering with parties to resolve.
  • Analyzes consolidated costs and intercompany profit differences.
  • Identify and work on initiatives that improve cost control and / or increase efficiency.
  • Continue to meet the S404 requirements, updating documentation and performing / enhancing existing controls.
  • Analyze standard revision on global level by branch and ensure appropriate accounting is performed from a local and global branch perspective.
  • Addresses entity / divisional customer questions and requests on a variety of data and system issues.
  • Provide accurate and timely financial cost, sales and inventory data to customers as requested.
  • Participate in special and ad hoc projects to support management analysis and provide ad-hoc quality support to business partners.
  • Openly share and mentor experience with peers in an effort to broaden knowledge and increase efficiency.
  • Support direct line manager with mid-year reviews, year-end appraisals.
  • Participate in objective setting, mid-year review, year-end review and feedback discussions with manager to foster open honest communication.
  • Back-up of line manager and other senior specialists or specialists as needed.
  • Qualifications

  • Education on Financial Bachelor or Bachelor of Art / Science degree or equivalent
  • Minimum 5 years of relevant experience in Finance and experience with analysis of production within a financial system like SAP;
  • FSA / Analysis for Office knowledge preferred

  • Knowledge and experience with Lean Six Sigma, minimal Yellow belt and previous practical experience of preparing accounts in accordance with US GAAP
  • Fluency in written and spoken English is mandatory
  • Willingness to take on responsibility, goal-orientated, capable of making decisions, open to change and ability to work under pressure with strict deadlines
  • Able to mentor effectively
  • Flexible in work hours and ability, willingness and flexibility to travel occasionally
