Britvic is a UK based softdrinks company with global presence. Britvic Teisseire International, where this role resides, is responsible for the BeNeFraLux home market and the global expansion of Britvic owned brands including Teisseire, Mathieu Teisseire, London Essence, and Britvic Mixers.

Britvic Teisseire International will be a critical driver of growth for Britvic to achieve its ambition of joining the FTSE 100 index on the London Stock Exchange.

Today Britvic Teisseire International generates around £240m in annual revenues and our ambition is to grow significantly in profit and revenue contributing to Britvic’s Mission 2025.

Strategic growth priorities are :

1) Grow global premium brands (Mathieu Teisseire and London Essence)

2) Grow core brands in Western Europe with improved margins

The Category & Distributor manager leads category management and our way of working with distributor partners. Key tasks are :

  • The creation of selling decks from a clear category story. This includes the creation of supporting sales tools (leaflets, sampling boxes etc.).
  • Furthermore, the Category & Distributor manager coordinates and leads the way we work with distributors : e.g. partner selection, setup, and improvement;
  • contracts and joint business planning. Specifically, the category & distributor manager defines and improves the way of working with our distributors, coordinates distributor reviews with the commercial team, and ensures that in-market progress is tracked (sales, distribution, execution).

  • Finally, the Category and Distributor manager leads and coordinates the development of BU-level materials with the trade marketing managers in the international business unit
  • The Category & Distributor manager partners with the brand teams to translate brand strategies into commercial execution (category strategy, selling tools, way of working, activation toolkits).

    The Category & Distributor manager coordinates development of selling materials and activation toolkits with the trade marketing managers.

    This way of working can be classified as operating as a player-coach which implies executing where possible and leveraging the team where necessary.

    Key Responsibilities :

    Category Management and BU delivery

  • Drives creation of best in class’ selling decks for our key brands rooted in a clear category story. Ensures constant updates to reflect latest development on brands.
  • Creation of sales materials to support sales (e.g. leaflets, sampling boxes etc.).
  • Ensures BU-level category stories are in place for our key brands partners with the brand teams to translate overarching brand stories in commercially executable stories (customer / consumer benefit led).
  • Where relevant assists trade marketing teams to translate BU story to market / regional needs.

  • Delivers category led selling decks / argumentation for innovations
  • Partners with the RGM and Insights team to strengthen all materials with relevant data points and insights.
  • Coordinates BU-level delivery of materials with the trade marketing managers. Owns execution where necessary.
  • Delivers AOP deliverables for Category & Distributor management (what are key topics to focus on and what is the workplan).
  • Distributor Management

  • Drives improvement of distributor management (way of working, tracking, internal and external capabilities)
  • Owns and optimizes way of working between Britvic and distributor teams
  • Drives and coordinates internal distributor reviews for our top-markets. This focusses on the in-market distributor model (partner selection, assessment against optimal way of working, in-market progress).
  • Knowledge, Skills & Experience Required :

  • Experience in category management, marketing activation, trade- and shopper marketing, customer management, including the creation of selling materials.
  • A mix of experience is preferred.

  • Experience in FMCG, Experience in the drinks industry (non-alcoholic / alcoholic)
  • Experience with retail and on-trade
  • Ability to work closely with cross-functional teams (internal and external)
  • Ability to travel, hold a valid passport (and visa if applicable) to do so
  • Great communication skills (English; written and verbal) both internally and across the world.
  • Proven track record to drive implementation with focus on execution
  • Ability to multi task and act & deliver at pace in fast paced and volatile business environment
  • Ability to build strong internal relationships and partnerships
  • Proven track record of influencing across functions
  • Appreciation of cultural differences and working across different international geographies
  • Results driven and business oriented
  • Desirable

  • Experience of working with International markets a strong advantage
  • Eye for detail, especially when it comes to delivering quality on content and look and feel.
  • Experience working on prestige brands is preferred
  • Up to date with latest trends and best practices in the drinks industry

  • Qualifications :

  • Master’s degree (preferable)
  • 8-12 years’ experience in relevant roles (category, marketing, sales).
  • Professional marketing qualification (preferred, but not essential)
