Your job

As Service Manager, you are responsible for the day-to-day management of Field Services at IHC Services, based in Kinderdijk.

As Service Manager, you will ensure that day-to-day operations are structured, run smoothly and are delivered OSBIT. You are responsible and accountable for the development of Field Service as a competence centre and also as an operational service line.

The role will require you to develop a strategic approach and development plan to service our customers’ needs. You will also embed this within our business development road map, covering all aspects that are required to deliver a class-

leading service experience to our internal and external customers. As Service Manager you are also responsible for the following :

  • ensuring that the department objectives (including operational performance and SLAS compliance) and development projects are delivered OSBIT
  • ensuring that KPI's are developed, monitored and complied with, deviations are investigated and mitigation / follow-up actions put in place and executed
  • managing and overseeing day-to-day operations (without losing sight of the details and the development road map)
  • participating in the management team of Asset Services
  • signalling and monitoring of operations, your team and all additional work
  • taking ownership of and managing the Field Service skills matrix, which you shall continually develop, and integrating a structured training plan to develop and deepen the necessary knowledge, skills and capabilities to ensure our Field and Service staff continue to deliver added value to our customers.
  • managing + / -50 FTE including the performance management and appraisal processes
  • taking ownership of your department’s business plan, also integrating your strategic development road map within the business plan on an annual basis
  • developing and taking ownership of SHEQ plans for Field Service, and working in collaboration with the SHEQ department on the development, maintenance and implementation of said plans.
  • Your profile

    As Service Manager, you have experience in managing field engineers, customers, contract execution and internal stakeholders.

    You will have previous experience in managing a department, and owning and executing strategic service development. You are able to keep a cool head in times of stress and can ensure that everything is done without losing sight of the needs of your team and customers.

    You are an excellent communicator with a tactical vision, great empathic skills and technical competence is also essential.

    In addition, you have the following profile :

  • higher vocational education (HBO) and at least five years of relevant professional experience
  • experience with team management and incident management
  • excellent English skills are required and Dutch skills (written and verbal) are a considerable advantage
  • you are an excellent people manager with great interpersonal skills and ability to communicate at all levels (shop floor to director level) within internal and external customer bases
  • experience with planning tools and project management tools is required.
