To support the rapid growth and international expansion of our organization we are looking for a Manager Environmental, Social & Governance (ESG), with a proven track record in implementing corporate sustainability programs on a global scale.

Location : Breda (HQ), Utrecht or Amsterdam.

What you’ll do

This is an exciting opportunity to be part of shaping the future of sustainability within CM.com. We are looking for a professional to revitalise the businesses approach to sustainability.

Your principal responsibility is to set the sustainability strategy and translate this into actionable internal policies and procedures to assist the business to achieve its sustainability goals.

The role responsibilities include :

  • Creating, executing and monitoring the global ESG sustainability strategy within CM.com;
  • Being well informed about relevant sustainability developments, topics, trends and reporting guidelines and integrate them in initiatives, frameworks and reporting;
  • Being well-informed and up-to-date about the ESG criteria and the environmental risks a company might face;
  • Creating and implementing an ESG framework, including company-wide improvements, development of governance systems, development of appropriate ESG KPI’s, continuous improvement plans and overall cultural approach to ESG matters;
  • Manage sustainability reporting and other ESG reporting and prepare publications and presentations for internal and external communication;
  • Advising the board about ESG / sustainability;
  • Initiate, drive and manage various sustainability projects;
  • Increase awareness for sustainable entrepreneurship throughout the organisation, e.g. by developing e-learning or supporting in knowledge.
  • In this role you would be reporting to the Head of Risk & Compliance. You will collaborate cross functional and work closely together with e.

    g. the Legal, HR, Risk and Facility departments.

    What you offer

  • Bachelor or Master degree in Business Administration / Economics or related field;
  • A minimum of 5 years’ relevant working experience in a sustainability related position, preferably within an (international) IT / tech environment;
  • Proven track record in implementing corporate sustainability programs on a global scale;
  • In-depth knowledge of the regulatory landscape in at least the Netherlands and Europe around ESG / sustainability;
  • Demonstrated experience in business and operational transformations and setting up change driving programs;
  • Knowledge of ISO 14001 (environment management systems) is strongly preferred;
  • Experience in project management is preferable;
  • Excellent communication skills : you can communicate up and down the organisation and with external stakeholders. Your English is fluent and Dutch is strongly preferred

  • Well-developed interpersonal, influencing and stakeholder management skills;
  • A resilience mindset, the ability to find creative solutions to problems and challenges.
