The Opportunity
You will work for Worldline’s Merchant Services Global Business Line. We cover the full retail value chain, online and in-store, through a complete approach, delivering a real digital journey for retailers and their customers and facilitating consumer engagement, via seamless services, on any device with payment at the heart of the shopping experience.
More specifically, you will be working in Global Payments Integration and Orchestration vertical responsible for all the payment methods / products that are processed through our platform.
You will play a key role in our technical discussions with focus towards increasing our proficiency through technical enhancements which will enable us process even higher number of transactions while keeping our customers happy.
Your day-to-day responsibilities include
Design, develop and test Java based solutions using Spring frameworks
Translate software requirements into maintainable solutions within the existing application frameworks
Develop and keep up with best practices for developing applications
Identify and remove bottlenecks in the development process
Coach and enable others to get stuff done
Make decisions and gain consensus within a large group
Initiate the discussion with business and management to incorporate or introduce the new technology within the platform by sharing the right business case
Work closely with product owners and engineers to design, implement, continually improve highly scalable applications and services

Skills we can't do without :
At least 10 years of working experience on Java 8, Java 11+ and Spring Boot projects
Knowledge of REST eco-system with focus on web performance and security aspects
Knowledge of Unit Testing
SQL, RDBMS (Oracle, PostgreSQL, etc.)
Strong sense of accountability and ownership
Good team player and communicator with a flexible, customer-driven attitude.
Ability to work cross-culturally and across regions
Proficiency in English
Skills we'd like :
Knowledge of Payments industry
Knowledge of other programing languages
Knowledge of Oracle and other RDBMS
Knowledge of NoSQL databases
Cloud knowledge (e.g. AWS)
Knowledge of infrastructure (Caching, Load balancers, VPNs etc.)
Knowledge of architecture principals
