Global Data Management (GDM) is one of the foundation topics for the continuous delivery of the Think Forward strategy to become one digital bank.

The Global Data Management programme is poised to take ING's data management capabilities to the next level by designing and implementing a data management strategy that stipulates how we want to govern data throughout the bank.

Global Data Management in ING is orchestrated by the Chief Data Management office (CDMO) and executed together with Finance and Risk and the business in each of the domains.

CDMO’s Chief Administrative Office is currently looking to recruit a SharePoint go-to-person / Superuser scale 9 to support the CDMO Global lead for communications, knowledge management and marketing.

Your day to day

  • You primarily contribute to the transformation of our existing SharePoint towards a correctly functioning and well controlled knowledge management solution that fits our business needs, contributes to our business operation, meets users’ expectations and has positive users’ buy-in;
  • You manage our communication tools (SharePoint, One Intranet, Confluence, Skype, Videobank), keeping these up to date, including content management and user access;
  • You create content for internal communication purposes like newsletters and CDMO’s intranet. Within the scope of the communication strategy, you figure out stories worth telling.
  • You frequently liaise with your audience to understand their questions, situations and challenges. You methodically draft, review and publish content.

  • You provide technical support for internal events / knowledge sessions to improve the collaboration and communication between locations and to prevent unnecessary travel;
  • You contribute through your creative mind, by coming up with ideas to improve the effectiveness of our communication activities, to increase the social interaction within CDMO and to cultivate a bank wide data driven mind-set.
  • Knowledge, skills and abilities

    The candidate we are looking for :

  • Is familiar with ING’s corporate strategy, organisational processes and culture and is willing to develop a working knowledge of ING’s GDM strategy and roadmap and CDMO’s data capabilities;
  • Has a good technical knowledge (2 3 years) of SharePoint and other communication tools (see Your day to day), s kilfully provides technical support to users and manages user access to the tools .
  • Ensures in a friendly but determined manner that users adhere to the agreed knowledge management strategy and guidelines for the application of the tools in scope ;
  • Is creative and solution oriented, able to think in solutions. Can translate business requirements into (SharePoint) functionality , in order to create a structured database (within SharePoint) that information providers can fill, decentrally.
  • Able to translate requirements in simple processes and translate these into (SharePoint) solutions to be communicated to users, if necessary with a little training on the job .
  • Has 2 3 years’ experience in developing content, including composing the core message and selection of the most relevant channel.
  • Easily recognises communications needs of internal parties and can advise (on request or on own initiative) on the communications approach to be followed.

  • Is a skilled communicator with strong organizational skills. Has good judgment and collaboration skills, carefully weighs rights and interest of parties involved.
  • Is used to work in a complex, international, multicultural environment and preferably has some experience in working Agile / Scrum.
  • Is skilled in assessing content in terms of consistency, corporate style, design and accordance with ING’s strategy and policy.
  • Is fluent in English and pays well attention to detail and wording.

    Education

    University) degree in a marketing and communications related field and preferably certification on SharePoint.
